I struggled to get into this book at first because it seemed to me that it made a lot of assumptions/general statements about women that I didn't relate to, like all women are chronic dieters, or all women feel guilty eating pasta. I also didn't understand the archetype model at first read. But I have since listened and read through multiple times because there is so much valuable information and guidance in this book. It's a holistic, self-love approach to changing eating habits, with the goal being a rich vibrant life full of what matters to you personally. It also centers around 2 things that I have always believed and rarely seen acknowledged; People with different body chemistries have different needs. And, if you have emotional issues surrounding food, forcing yourself to follow a diet without working through those emotions will never be sustainable. I wasn't able to fully jump into the program right away, but it was easy to incorporate bits and pieces and begin changing my habits. This book is a life-changer!
