Historia
Human laws do not apply in the territory controlled by the Others - vampires, shape-shifters, and paranormal beings even more deadly. And this is a fact that humans should never, ever forget.... After her divorce, Vicki DeVine took over a rustic resort near Lake Silence - in a human town that is not human controlled. Towns like Vicki's have no distance from the Others, the dominant predators that rule most of the land and all of the water throughout the world. And when a place has no boundaries, you never really know what's out there watching you.

Great Story from a new perspective
Revisado: 07-18-18
So it’s not about Meg and Simon in Lakeside. And as far as I’ve seen that’s the only complaint people can come up with. It’s a new set of characters trying to survive after the Great Predation, in a different town in the North East (near-ish to Lakeside).
It’s a lot of fun. I enjoy the references to the original set of characters but the idea that other humans and settlements could also be important to shaping the world. Lakeside couldn’t be the only important place after all. I enjoy Vickie and Grimshaw, Conan and Cougar. And who can’t help but love Aggie? I admit to being annoyed with Vickie at times, but I like her progression as a person, her growth, and I’m looking forward to seeing more from her.

Historia
When Nina Linden is hired to landscape a private island off the New England coast, she sees it as her chance to rebuild her failing business after being cheated by her unscrupulous ex. She never expects that her new client, software mogul Deacon Whitney, would see more in her than just a talented gardener. Deacon has paid top dollar to the crews he’s hired to renovate the desolate Whitney estate - he had to, because the bumps, thumps, and unexplained sightings of ghostly figures in 19th-century dress are driving workers away faster than he can say “Boo.”

Sweet, Funny, and Fun
Revisado: 02-27-15
Would you listen to Better Homes and Hauntings again? Why?
Yes. It was, in turns, sweet, funny, and always fun. I won't listen to it for a while - as it's a mystery and I know the ending now - but it's one I suspect I shall return to over the years and recommend to my sister.
What did you like best about this story?
I adored Deacon. He's super geeky, like my husband, so he appealed to me.
Which scene was your favorite?
The partially embodied ghost and bedroom scene. When you hear it, you'll know.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Marketing isn't my thing, so I'm passing on this question.
Any additional comments?
Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Meh
Revisado: 02-25-15
What did you like best about The Undead in My Bed? What did you like least?
The novella by Molly Harper was the best. I love her. I really disliked the first story - I skipped it after 3 chapters.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Jessica Sims & Katie MacAlister's stories need different narrators.
Did the narrators do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
None are as good as Amanda Ronconi, who usually does Molly Harper's books. Abby was best of the three, with different voices for each character. But as I've heard Amanda's versions of voices for the same characters they still bugged me.Leah had a terrible time doing men's voices. And Sophie has these long pauses between words during some of the more... intimate scenes and it just bugged me. The pauses were too long to really fit, they hurt the flow.
Was The Undead in My Bed worth the listening time?
Not all of it. After 3 chapters I skipped the first novella. All of the Molly Harper story was great. And the last story was okay, not amazing, but okay. Honestly I only listened to it because I was tiling my kitchen and didn't have anything else to listen to. But I did finish it when I had other options.
Any additional comments?
As I wanted to hear the tory about Sam and Tess, it was worth the credit. But if I weren't a Molly Harper fan I wouldn't have gotten it and I wouldn't have missed much.

Liked it
Revisado: 05-28-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, indeed I recommended it to my sister. It's well written and the twists were, at least a little, surprising. I liked the characters, and at least the vampires don't sparkle...
What was one of the most memorable moments of Vampire Academy?
The incident that was caused by the charm. I won't go into details and ruin the surprise.
What does Stephanie Wolf bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I liked the different voices. While a tad difficult at times, they were mostly unique and I could differentiate the characters better.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
It WAS made into a film....

Wow, this one was quite the listen
Revisado: 09-14-13
Would you listen to Feral Sins again? Why?
Yes, I liked the story a lot. Although I admit that the more... Adult... Scenes were a little intense for my tastes at times. Of course I don't usually listen to these types of books, I feel so embarrassed.
What other book might you compare Feral Sins to and why?
It's rather similar to books by Mina Carter and Jennifer Ashley.
Which scene was your favorite?
No spoilers
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Oh yes, at points I was actually teary-eyed. But I'll never tell which. Listen to it yourself and find out. ^_~
Any additional comments?
The performance wasn't my favorite, but still good. Because the book switches perspectives multiple times a chapter it's odd to me hearing a bloke's thoughts from a woman, but that's more a personal preference than anything.

He is now Harry Dresden, Winter Knight to Mab, the Queen of Air and Darkness. After Harry had no choice but to swear his fealty, Mab wasn’t about to let something as petty as death steal away the prize she had sought for so long.

Revisado: 09-14-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, the story is amazing and the man reading it is amazing.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Cold Days?
To answer this I'd give away spoilers, so I won't.
What does James Marsters bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Having read the book a few times myself, as well as listening to it, James gives Harry a voice and a tone that I can't reproduce in my own head.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Oh yes. And I've read it all in one sitting too.

Old favorite found again
Revisado: 07-17-13
If you could sum up The Search in three words, what would they be?
Absolutely frikin riveting
What did you like best about this story?
Monty and Maggie. When I first read this, in paper form, I had just gotten a golden retriever puppy. Now she's gone, but listening to this again brought back all those happy memories.
Which scene was your favorite?
The scene with Madden confronting Sarah and Logan, and Logan's resulting outburst.
If you could rename The Search, what would you call it?
I don't think I would rename it.
Any additional comments?
I read it years ago without reading the first two books. I was only slightly confused, and only in regard to the interpersonal intricacies. I was able to figure it out pretty quickly though, so it wasn't a big deal.

Love the book, not the Narrator
Revisado: 07-17-13
What made the experience of listening to Magic Bites the most enjoyable?
I loved the book and getting it as an audiobook enabled me to get my fiancé to listen to it. He doesn't have the time to read, but he loved the story.
What did you like best about this story?
Kate is hilarious and I love Jim, he's one of my favorite characters.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
She pronounces some words really poorly. Other than those moments that make me wince, I like her though. My fiancé doesn't like her as much, he thinks she sounds like she has a harder time with the "s" sounds. I think he's crazy.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes. I did actually. ^_^
Any additional comments?
Love the books, love the whole series. Have them all in paper, digital, and now audio formats.

Revisado: 11-21-12
What did you love best about Ghost Story: The Dresden Files, Book 13?
Everything. I adore these books. I actually read them myself, but I've been buying the audiobooks to get my boyfriend to enjoy them.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
No offense to Glover, but I miss Marsters. His voice is EXACTLy what I heard in my head when I first read the books. But over all Glover did well.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Hell yes! When I read it I sat and didn't stop reading until I had finished the book. I hardly ate!
