I love Harry Potter universe and I was happy to pick this audiobook up. It is sadly very short but the listen provides a nice experience. Stories are made for children and do not offer anything special for adult listeners, I enjoyed them nonetheless. Make me wanna go back to Harry Potter books :)

Fantastic way to learn a new language

For me as a beginner, this audiobook combined with a provided PDF is a valuable study aid. If you put some effort this can dramatically boost your language skills and vocabulary.

I have to give credit for how the book is structured - for each story there is a summary and then important words with translation in both PDF and audiobook. Great for auditory and visual learners.

This book is not funny, but it is very good

I bought this book a long time ago after reading many good reviews. I have not known Kevin Hart previously and this book was the first time I ever heard his name.

I postponed listening to this audiobook many times because it was hard for me, as English is my second language, to understand the narrator. He sometimes speaks fast and with a very specific accent that was hard for me to grasp for a long time. But in the end, I decided to give this book a try (also, after improving my listening skills).

I'll tell you that this book is rarely funny. I laughed maybe 3-4 times through the book - some jokes were just not funny for me. That, however, does not prevent me from giving it a 5-star rating. The reason for me liking this book is how similar my life and his has been and how honest he is. His honesty is what kept me wanting to listen to what he has to say, as each chapter was an entertaining one.

Definitely recommended listen.

Let's talk about the "story" first.
In the first few chapters, the author describes biases and common ways in which our brain is being deceived. As you might expect from a 2-hour audiobook these descriptions are not detailed, the author does not dive deep into the problem. I am not sure if this is good or bad, again, I have no idea to whom the book is addressed. If you read about the topic previously you can skip this audiobook entirely, otherwise, it might be a good introduction.
A multitude of other topics is touched, such us: MLMs, scams, conspiracy theories, but they are described in a very short way that feels like common knowledge.

The second part, the narration.
The voice itself is decent, nothing bad about it. However, had I not listened to the audiobook at 2x speed I would not be able to finish it. The narrator is extremely sloooooooooooooooooooow.

To sum up, I see no way in which the reader could benefit from listening to this audiobook. There are better alternatives that have more content. The premise that you will "Understand the Hidden Pathways of Your Thought Patterns- Improve Your Memory, Make Rational Decisions, Tune Down Emotional Reactions, and Set Realistic Expectations" is just gibberish that has no foundation in the actual content of the book.

Fantastic narration and good listen overall

I was not expecting much from a 23-minute audiobok. However, it was a very nice, calm story (you could call it sad) that was made even better by the narrator. I enjoyed it.
