It was alright
Revisado: 08-24-23
In all honesty, I just don’t think this author is my cup of tea. Her writing style is beautiful but the stories she tells are too slow paced for me and lacks character connection. Divine Rivals was the first book I read of hers and I had the same feeling. With all the hype I thought maybe it was just me so I gave this story a try. I love the concept of the story, her world building is great, but, for me, she doesn’t get me invested in the characters.
Nothing against this author, it’s just not my style. If you liked Divine Rivals you’ll like this story as well. Happy reading

I guess my question is why are we getting a recap and alternate POV of a book now and not at the end of the series? It’s disappointing and boring. I’m not someone that likes to reread books so this was not enjoyable. Also, is third wheel a trope? Listen I’m not opposed to RH or throuples but along the way Kieran has become third wheelish and icky. Just my opinion but it’s making me question continuing this series.

I just can’t read (or listen to) another story where the FMC is contradictory (states her dreams are the one thing she trust then immediately disregards?!), dull, naive, desperate, and purposefully ignorant. DNF’d half way through.

Disappointed
Revisado: 07-14-23
This story was ok until the end. For me, my personal preference, I abhor a weak FMC. I don’t like damsels is distress and women who won’t fight for themselves. Or for someone they “love”. So for me this story was disappointing for all the hype and I won’t read any further.

Disappointing
Revisado: 05-04-23
First let me say I love this author and if you haven’t read Binding 13 please do, it’s one of my favorite series. That being said, I found this story lacking and very disappointing. I love the concept and whole idea of the story. The 1st 2 books were OK but the last 2 lost me. It felt like the story advanced in spite of the main characters instead of them growing and developing with it. The constant, deliberate, ignorance and denial got old and just not believable. The end was full of cliche lines and predictable.

So much potential
Revisado: 04-23-23
This story could have been epic. The world building, the story line, it was great but the FMC was sadly so disappointing. I seem to say this a lot lately, please don’t make a main point of the FMC be that she’s this feared assassin to only have her shutdown every single time something happens. The 1st of the 2 love interest became cringy and annoying and lost any purpose in being in the story. The MMC and the other characters in their circle were great and shows the authors ability in creating likable, relatable characters. I will read then next book as I have hope for the characters growth and I do like the authors writing style.

Disappointing
Revisado: 04-21-23
I really wanted to love this book. I mean witches and vampires, sign me up. But alas I was very disappointed. It’s another story where the author makes a point of expressing how much trading the FMC has had, how badass and how well they truly fight, to leave that completely out of the most important scene. If you press upon me all of this then have them just tape and freeze at the most crucial part, you lost me. They don’t have to win but they have to at least fight or struggle or something. You can’t tell me she’s a badass, you have to show me and that did not play out. I also felt zero chemistry between the 2 main characters. I love the concept of this story but it left me sadly disappointed

This story was raw and it made me feel it
Revisado: 04-19-23
I know there have been some people that didn’t enjoy this book, and I get it. But I don’t it was the story or the writing or the ending, I think it’s because it’s a reality we don’t like to taste. This story had me sobbing and sobbing. Young love is so fierce and true and untainted and this story captures that. The bite of this story is a long lasting one. Having lost a loved one at a young age who was so deeply in love. I get this story. Is it a HEA? To some, yes. To some absolutely not because sometimes stories hurt and hit too close to the reality we try to escape from. I loved this story because it was raw and it made me feel it.

A story about a boy who dreamed of rock and roll. A story about a girl who dreamed about a boy. An epic, all-consuming love story about betrayal, loss and learning, that spans over 20 years. This is the story of us: "I was just 11 years old, but I knew without a shadow of a doubt I was staring into the eyes of the boy I was going to love forever." An edgy coming-of-age love story that breaks all the rules and transcends the decades.

I was really disappointed in the way the story played out. It doesn’t have a happy ending for anyone who wants that in a story. It’s well written but the storyline just wasn’t for me.
