What a breathe of fresh air to hear this wonderful voice after nearly two years of madness coming from the WH. It was great to hear her full story, understand a little about from whence she came and even more so to hear her desires and purpose behind all she did while a public servant. I will forever be in awe of her as a First Lady and am even more so knowing her history. Thank you for your service Mrs. Obama, you are a national treasure and I am honored to have listened to your story.

A Work in Progress

I had deliberately attempted to hear/read as little as possible about this book prior to purchase. I wanted to be as unbiased as i could be when i first heard it, and i was so excited when i preordered it to find Comey himself would be the narrator.

I found the first 3/4s of the book, Comey’s early days in college, life and the beginnings of climbing his way up to FBI Director fascinating. Understanding the struggles along the way, the tribulations he endured and the self-inflicted karma he’s living currently make him a fascinating character. He strikes me as a likable man with a strong appreciation for tradition, the rule of law and strong leadership. As such it’s unsurprising that his conflicts with el Trumpo surfaced so early on, most of us saw the train wreck coming. He just got a front row seat to the madness.

While there aren’t many new revelations about Mr. T, it was a fascinating story and I am glad to have listened to it.

I’m eager to see what history will have in store for us all and how we’ll look back on Comey’s roll in this whole sh¡t show years from now. I hope there are tapes!

Rip Off - 10 min talking in 60 min long hypnosis

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Making the actual Hypnosis more than 10 minutes out of 60 in total

Has Fluent in Spanish turned you off from other books in this genre?

Totally disappointed that of the hour only 10 minutes was actually speaking. Make me wonder if the rest of the genre also does this?

How did the narrator detract from the book?

He only spoke for 10 minutes of the hour long audio

The script was ok, definitely par for the course with hypnosis, but 1000% overshadowed by the breathiness of this voice.

Take Time to Reflect and Be Grateful

Would you listen to Yes Please again? Why?

Totally. Ms. Poehler was real, honest, vulnerable and funny.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Yes Please?

I had several very real laugh out loud moments. I connected with her perspective, her frustrations, her hopes and her outlook on life and appreciation for all that she has worked hard for and has been given.

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

Love Poehler's voice in general, but the narration here was well timed and the introduction of others was great.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and I did!

Thank you Ms Poehler for sharing your story. While yes you may be a celebrity, you are definitely still human. And it's awesome to laugh with you on your journey of appreciating the now. Thanks for making me laugh!
