Not my cup of tea.

I'm not really enthused about this book and it's hard to explain why. I really had to stop and think about why I returned it after the initial meeting. Also, yes I know this is just a book. The beginning of this can be a bit triggering....weak willed woman, baby daddy that's gotten out of prison unexpectedly.... Eh.... seeing that person show up on the red carpet of the wedding....absconding with the son after causing a huge scene...throwing the bride in too when she comes for the son ... I have had a hard time suspending reality with this one I guess. I'm not up for a very real domestic violence situation disquised as romance even if it does end in a hea.

This narrator needs some coaching. I couldn't listen to it. Way too slow, monotone, very boring and hard to stay in the story.

I don't understand why the female just let's a man come back and steamroll her without any anger. She let's him cross a line almost immediately when he pins her in her chair. There's literally zero resistance, she goes out to dinner with him immediately. I wish she wrote more realistic stories and let the female flip her lid from time to time in these type but they're all basically the same thing with a new overlay for each.
