Most Casual Turning on of a Car Indicator of the Week !

The thing I love about Audible is that occasionally when you least expect you come across an absolute gem of a listen normally about something you have had little interest in before or something you down right dislike . This is up there in the top 5 Audible listens and I have over 400 titles completed so far. The narrative actually transports you there on set with all of the intermingling storylines and characters that made the film. Whilst initially I was very concerned about the author narrating it as her voice was a little ‘grating’ I forgot about it within the first hour and pretty quickly throughly enjoyed her narration, for some reason it totally matched the book. All I will say now I have competed it is, I can’t wait to watch the movie !!!!!!!

Really enjoyed this, have been a fan of Haas F1 for a while and Guenther bought the 2022 season back to life with his unique style. After a few chapters I got used to his enthusiastic efforts as an audio book narrator .

Was sad when this came to an end. Brilliantly produced, superbly researched and unbiased in its view on what they believed happened. It certainly changed my mind on certain aspects of what happened to MH370. Well done Audible on a great podcast. Hope to see more like it !

Brilliant !!

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I purchased this as it had been sitting in my wish list for a long time, and especially as I had no real interest in deep sea diving or indeed U-boats. What I got was a superb story, beautifully told and meticulously researched. Real ‘boys own adventure’ The audio quality is obviously transferred from its previous format of a tape or CD but in a perverse way I enjoyed it immensely as it reminded me of my early obsession playing audiobooks on my Walkman with cassette tapes. I was unfamiliar with the narrator but thought he did a super job. I was sorry to come to an end but will start on the next book following John Chatterton and his deep sea wreck exploring. Also, as a Christmas present to myself I have purchased a PADI diving course at my local pool and lake which I’m looking forward to immensely. I think that demonstrates the power of this book .

Brilliant

I was very sad when this came to an end. I have held an interest in Mike Rinder ever since I saw him on the BBC Panorama series in 2007 and 2010. I followed his blog donated money and enjoyed his HBO series so I was delighted to see he was releasing his own book.
The book is superb and grabs your attention from the first pages, it was truly fascinating to hear the insight of someone who spent so long in Scientology and one who reached the top and ultimately the bottom. Mike diligently narrates well, especially for his first time. To end, I personally am having some major changes in my life, something that he given me lots of reflection, heart ache and worry. This book really helped my mindset and made me realise I don’t have it so bad, look how difficult it must have been for Mike Rinder walking out of Scientology in 2007 at the age of 52 losing everything and slowly coming to the realisation of what Scientology really was. The stress and emotions must have been damaging . This book has my highest recommendation!!!

Macintyre at his best !

I enjoy all of Ben Macintyre books and this was no different. Extensively researched and beautifully written. Ben is a very underrated narrator and would love to hear him narrate more. Well worth your credit !
