very insightful book from actual practitioner
Revisado: 01-20-18
Numerous valuable and somewhat counter-intuitive advises on how to negotiate and have conversations in general.
Probably sometimes I lacked structure, as sometimes few interesting ideas were condensed into short passages, while other ideas were stretched into while chapters.

Historia
Amazon.com started off delivering books through the mail. But its visionary founder, Jeff Bezos, wasn't content with being a bookseller. He wanted Amazon to become the everything store, offering limitless selection and seductive convenience at disruptively low prices. To do so, he developed a corporate culture of relentless ambition and secrecy that's never been cracked. Until now.

Interesting story
Revisado: 10-08-17
Bezos surely share many traits with other great, revolutionary enterpreneurs (like Ford, Jobs, Musk) - talent, incredible grip, belief in great purpose he and his team is aiming. But for some reason not so simpathetic. He is surely devoted to consumers. But probably he's too obsessive, and the way how he accomplished the goals seen more instrumental than inspirational.

Really insightful
Revisado: 09-04-17
The beginning is rather watery, but afterwards the content is quite condensed and very valuable.

much more pop than science
Revisado: 06-30-17
I love books on human behavior and psychology. love Kahneman , Taleb, Ariely. After them this one seems like Cosmolitan articles. It is very watery and unnecessary long. Very often 'proof' is based on one research or some anecdote. The book flow is more about narrative than structured thinking.

Great story of great person
Revisado: 05-24-17
What most appealed to me in this biography is honesty. Knight looks like common person - shy, making mistakes, feeling fear and self-doubt, sometimes too proud. You believe him. And in some respect you start to believe in yourself too. And also the book is really great example of story telling.

One semi scientific view on human history
Revisado: 05-22-17
Interesting overview of human history, but extremely ideological. Reminds of Capital by Marx - author manipulates and picks the facts and words to fit his pet idea.

Rare case of logic and science applied to history
Revisado: 12-27-16
This rare case when you can not look at the world as you did before. When the ideas seem so reasonable and obvious that you cannot understand how you missed them before.
