Loved having the introduction from the author.

David Baldacci narrated the story and that made it very special. Great insights into trial law. Hard to step in time to a time when there was so much racial stigma and prejudice.

As a Christmas Eve blizzard whips out of the north, several people, Toni among them, converge on a remote family house. All have something to gain or lose from the drug developed to fight the virus. Historia
It's Christmastime in 1905 New York City, and for once Molly Murphy Sullivan is looking forward to the approaching holidays. She has a family of her own now: She and Daniel have a baby son, and 12-year-old Bridie is living with them as their ward. As Molly and the children listen to carolers in the street, they hear a lovely voice, the voice of an angel, and see a beggar girl huddled in a doorway, singing "Away in a Manger". Bridie is touched by the girl's ragged clothes and wants to help her out if they can.

It is so much fun to hear the book red with an Irish accent. I feel like I really know Molly. It is also fun to hear the names of places in NYC that I remember from my childhood.

“Why is this town called Mother’s Rest?” That’s all Reacher wants to know. But no one will tell him.
