Does it again
Revisado: 02-19-23
When you think it couldn’t get any better Orphan X pulls it off again. This time he performing a mission for the president whom he really doesn’t like but she offers to reinstate his immunity again in which he lost in I believe book 7 maybe 6. Again the narration by Scott Brick is outstanding. I’ve listened to all 8 Orphan X audiobooks and he is the driving force of making X come to life. Thanks for bringing Orphan V back Candy she kicks ass. And I love Joey and Dog oh and I cannot forget Tommy. The ending leave you wanting to know what is going to happen in the next Orphan book. Does X’s dad answer the door in the next book in the series. Can’t wait to find out so Gregg Hurwitz don’t make us wait to long. As I always say it’s worth the credit and if you don’t like it you can alway exchange it. But if you’ve never listened to any of the Orphan audiobooks pick up and get hooked on this series by starting with the first in the series.

Wow
Revisado: 01-22-23
George Guidall’s excellent narration knocks it out of the park again. From what I’ve heard he is now retired and that’s a shame. I’ve listened to about a half dozen of his audio books with Vince Flynn’s stories involving the character of Mitch Rapp. I love the series and unfortunately Vince passed away many years ago and Kyle Mills has taken over the duties of writing the continuing series and he does a decent job of it. If you love high octane action thrillers the give the Mitch Rapp series a try. I highly recommend it.

Historia
The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

Jack Benny is perhaps the king of satire comedy. I grew up listening to old time radio shows and even his tv shows were enjoyable for the whole family. Clean a n decent and very enjoyable.

We are in a small room with the vampire, face to face, as he speaks--as he pours out the hypnotic, shocking, moving, and erotically charged confessions of his first two hundred years as one of the living dead. . . He speaks quietly, plainly, even gently . . . carrying us back to the night when he departed human existence as heir--young, romantic, cultivated--to a great Louisiana plantation, and was inducted by the radiant and sinister Lestat into the other, the "endless," life....

Historia
Experience a bold take on this classic autobiography as it’s performed by Oscar-nominated Laurence Fishburne. In this searing classic autobiography, originally published in 1965, Malcolm X, the Muslim leader, firebrand, and Black empowerment activist, tells the extraordinary story of his life and the growth of the Human Rights movement. His fascinating perspective on the lies and limitations of the American dream and the inherent racism in a society that denies its non-White citizens the opportunity to dream, gives extraordinary insight into the most urgent issues of our own time.

Revisado: 10-17-22
What an amazing achievement with this audio recording. I learned so much about Malcom X. I remember learning about him in high school and read a little about him but that was as far as it went. I was totally caught up in the whole story that I listened to it all in one sitting. If you want to learn something about this amazing man give this a listen. Laurence Fishburne does an absolutely amazing performance that I wish he would consider doing some more audio recordings. His narrative flow was perfection at its finest. I think this is the first time I’ve given a five star review on all three categories that you make your reviews on and it deserves it. You must listen to this audible recording. You won’t be sorry.

Ending was good
Revisado: 10-13-22
The ending was the only good part about this production. I’m a big John Sandford fan and I understand that this was his second or third Lucas Davenport novel. Read or listen to his later one otherwise if you listen to this first you may miss out on some of his other Prey novels which are pretty good. Thinking about returning for credit but I got it on a 2 for1 deal so I guess I’m stuck with it because I often listen to book I really like a couple of times. The characters weren’t that well crafted like in some of his other books. Narration was just ok! Not bad but not great either. But I do recommend some of his latter Lucas Davenport novels.

Gregg Hurwitz does it again with this installment of the Orphan X series. Looking forward to the next in the series. I’ve already read the print version of Out of the Furnace and it was the best of the series so far. Scott Brick makes the characters come alive with his excellent narration. Plan on listening the the next installment after I write this review. If you like action you won’t be disappointed by any of the Orphan X series.

Orphan X
Revisado: 10-07-22
Another high octane thriller involving Orphan X. Gregg Hurwitz does it again. I listened to all the Orhan series and my favorite happens to be number 5 in the series where you get more of the orhpan Joey the computer genius. But Hellbent is well worth a listen as all of the others. If you love Vince Flynn, David Baldaci, Tom Clancy then you’ll love Gregg Hurwitz. Orphan X is the man. Scott Brick makes the characters come alive.
