I enjoyed the quick pace of the story. Each character is distinct. FMC is headstrong and relatable. Love the sibling caring relationship.

Dynamic and interesting story

Some of the characters I get mixed up as the story goes along… I’ve had to used the wiki to remember it but Stina Neilson is one of the BEST audio performers I’ve ever heard. I’ve listened to hundreds of books, I usually get about three audiobooks a week. She’s clear, her accents rarely falter and I feel the story as she’s speaking. I see that there is another reader in the next book so I look forward to comparison. However, I am more than happy with just having her perform the male roles.

More enjoyable than I expected!

I’m not sure if I will move forward with the other three books but this one was an interesting story line. It had some defining points that I didn’t expect which had me asking how this story could possibly end well. It’s a good listen.

Loved this Audiobook!

I thought the story was generic but then I really go into it on the second half of the 1st book! Now I can’t stop listening to them. I looove the voice the reader chose to portray Cas, it’s cheeky and sexy. I highly recommend:)

Engrossing story I couldn’t wait to listen to…

I’m a fan of Carlene O’connor’s books and found this one to be very entertaining. I usually listen to my books while I’m cleaning or driving in the car, but I couldn’t put this one down. I started taking lunch in my car at work so I could jump back into the story! I can’t wait to listen to the next book!

At first I was sure I would enjoy it…

I bought the first 10 stories in a package special deal. After the first hour of listening I was put off by the voicing of Rex and thought it was rather silly. However, as the story builds I began to appreciate how the dog sees humanity and it have another layer to the stories. After listening to the first 10 in a little under a month, one could say I’m pretty attached to the stories. I look forward to the next 5 stories and extras. I highly recommend this for some entertaining sleuthing by a tenacious old man and his spirited dog.

Thoroughly Addicted!

I’m in LOVE with these stories! I think the readers voice is close to the voices I heard in Ireland. It’s a comfort because when I hear other readers try and speak in an Irish accent it’s jarring! It’s such a unique accent that it’s very difficult to duplicate by American or English actors. Thank you for the stories and how beautifully read it is!

Superb voice acting!

I cannot wait for the remainder of the books to be recorded by Rosamund Pike. Even if it takes her 10 years to do it, I hope she’s invested in the stories enough to continue. I will continue to buy the books on Audible because she’s so good at pulling the listener into the story.
