Ok story but no depth at all
Revisado: 03-05-25
was ok but no depth with background, world, class, abilities, leveling, characters story etc. also didn't do much research. For example the rarity rating order in the book kept annoying me the whole time. author used common, uncommon, rare, super rare, mythic, legendary. First everyone knows uncommon is a higher rating than common its just a well known fact and makes sense which the auther got correct but what is also similar is mythic is also a higher rating than legendary but the author switched them around and it just annoyed me like a narrator who pronounces a common word wrong for the entire book. Also super rare is not really needed. In my opinion the order should have been common, uncommon, rare, epic, legendary, mythical.

Eric was as shocked as everyone else when the apocalypse struck, but unlike his mother's movie, there were no chosen heroes destined to fight the beast hordes now overrunning the planet. Just people trying desperately to survive. Yet there was a glimmer of hope that humanity could hold on to. A chosen few really could level up in this brave new world, and embrace magic, adventure, and the potential for limitless power!

After 463 chapters read still no progress made
Revisado: 10-27-24
I have read ahead on authors Patron because I once liked his story but every time something good starts going the main characters way, it get taken away from him. he's had 7 love prospects that have been lost. he's lost all his gear and soul bound weapons multiple times, he's lost all his land he's gain for the blue faction, everything gets taken from him eventually. After about 7 long books about him constantly getting screwed over and still in the same location (areas near free town) with nothing to show for it and no forward movement on story line I have decided never to purchase anything from this author again. Same goes for his other story as well started great but goes nowhere after 8 books. I kept thinking it would finally continue with the story or it would get better and finally get a win that wasn't taken from him only to be disappointed. twists are fine but when I know that the MC will get screwed over soon everytime its just sad and pathetic that this is the only thing that author knows how to do.

wrapped up everything very nicely great ending.
Revisado: 06-23-24
I enjoyed the series alot. I loved book one, disliked book two a fair amount because of it being confusing, slow, and going in different direction than first book. but I am extremely happy with book 3 and how everything came together very well. many authors mess up endings to there book or never end there story and you never find out what happens. Not this author he did really well. ill be looking forward to reading his other books to come.

characters unrealistically stupid
Revisado: 03-23-21
there are many times where the characters were acting extremely unrealistic. either they somehow knew exactly what happened making unrealistic connections with no information, other times extremely stupid for no reason like " me like hurt things" One father see's his son get killed and nothing is done, no mention, no emotion, not even discussed as if he was a failure of a son or anything.

Revisado: 11-25-20
I listen to the first couple books because the story was interesting, but the writer keeps restating the same info and phrases over and over and over again its really annoying. If you cut everything out that wasn't needed to be re-explained you could probably cut the book in half and it would flow together alot better.

I couldn't get past the first 30 minutes I dont even know if the book was good or not. Who would allow a narrator with such an extreme accent that can't fully pronounce most words narrate thier book for them? I'm returning this one, might try again if new narrator.

Another Patrick Rothfuss
Revisado: 10-08-20
I originally gave this book a 3 star about 4 years ago because its was good but not great. Love the narrator he is one of my absolute favorites. The book though
is nothing worth listening to twice. But it was left on a very big cliffhanger and was wondering if I'd find out what ever happened. Now I don't care, the next book could come out tomorrow and I wouldn't even listen to it if it was free because there will probably be a third book that will take 12+ years to release and im not going to wait for that. I'll never pick up another book from this author.

never again from this author
Revisado: 04-28-20
the king and son are too stupid with less than no common sence through the whole book. what im trying to say is the way the author wrote the characters is too unbelievable, no one would ever be that stupid over and over again really annoying and it ruined the entire book because the whole time I was upset. like a horror movie your watching where all these people were murdered by somthing and there's a noise outside and they are going to go check alone and your screaming to the idiot on the tv they are going to die.
