Historia
With a new job I didn’t apply for and an extended family I didn’t know I had - midlife has become somewhat problematic. Gluing ghosts back together is easy compared to my new celestial occupation. The Grim Reaper wants to put a ring on it. Tim wants to be a father. Candy Vargo has lost her damn mind, and Jennifer thinks we’re all sparkly vampires. I’ve been given an impossible task with catastrophic consequences for failure, but it wouldn’t be my midlife without another crisis.

The stories in this series are on the light side but the characters are hilarious. I loved everyone of these.

Historia
Liora Day, half-human, half-mess with her and you'll die Damaclan, had been thrown onto a rough path at a very early age. But when she is broken out of a cage by Devren, the young captain of the SS Kratos, she is shown that perhaps humanity does have a heart. The Kratos is set on a mission to rescue fallen surveyors from the Revolutionaries, and Liora is given the choice to follow her Damaclan instincts, or trust Devren's dark eyes and captivating smile that promise an adventure unlike any she has ever experienced.

Ugh!

The story was intriguing and I wanted to like it but the voices of the characters was HORRIBLE! They sounded like kids not adults. I would probably just read this once I can forget what they sounded like.

Historia
Amanda is a scientist for the military's cyborg program. Programming and repairing once-human soldiers is a lot easier than trying to date, so she buries herself in her work. She'll never admit that the cyborgs often seem like more than machines to her - especially the handsome AD-214.

I understand that this book was about robots but the narrator just droned on and on without anyone seeming to have emotions.

Giant Cockroaches, Bats and Rats, Oh My!
Revisado: 04-30-13
What did you love best about Gregor and the Prophecy of Bane?
As the second book in this series the reader doesn't get bogged down with info from the first book but enough to follow the story. I love the fantasy land of the Underworld and Gregor's relationship with those who live there.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Gregor was my favorite character because he would be brave but also remind you that he is still just a young teenager.
Which character – as performed by Paul Boehmer – was your favorite?
Gregor, but I loved how he performed Boots.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, I couldn't stop listening to it. I had it on while cooking, cleaning and in bed!
Any additional comments?
Can't wait to hear the next book in the series.

Historia
Growing up with telepathic abilities, Sookie Stackhouse realized early on there were things she'd rather not know. And now that she's an adult, she also realizes that some things that she knows about, she'd rather not see—like Eric Northman feeding off another woman. A younger one. There's a thing or two she'd like to say about that, but she has to keep quiet—Felipe de Castro, the Vampire King of Louisiana (and Arkansas and Nevada), is in town.

Never wanted it to end!
Revisado: 03-25-13
Would you consider the audio edition of Deadlocked to be better than the print version?
I would consider it better in that I could listen in the dark and still enjoy the story. I much rather read a book, even if it is on a kindle.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Deadlocked?
I think the night the werewolves met to decide what to do with the rouge wolves was riviting. There was so much emotion and tension between three of Sookies men.
Which character – as performed by Johanna Parker – was your favorite?
I loved her Sookie. She sounds so much like Anna Paquin.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Charlaine Harris always makes me laugh. The sarcastic comments her characters make are so funny that they often lighten the tension.
Any additional comments?
Can't wait for the next book.
