Not what I expected

This was not what expected, and in a great way! From the title alone I had settled in for some damsel in distress/hunky hero. I did not expect a teenager, a high school teacher, and a newly divorced “Miss Fix-It” to all take turns rescuing each other! And all three do so in creative, funny, and touching ways! I loved it!
Fantastic performances, laugh out loud humor, memorable characters!

The story was great, full of twists and unexpected. The narration was weird. Accents were all over the place. IE, Jersey? wait, Boston, no now it’s Canadian…wait a minute and it will be somewhere like the UP of Michigan or the PA or back to Jersey. good grief, it was bad.

This book is gut wrenching, heartbreaking, and will make you question so much. It is so beautifully written it pulls you into this sad world of wanting to rescue these forgotten characters and rooting for them even though…I don’t know, is it wrong? It was breathtaking, every moment.

I just finished listening to Maggie Moves On….It was sheer perfection!!!!! Perfect narration! perfect, delicious, unusual characters that I want to meet in my neighborhood Main Street (it is legit walking distance from my house.) my heart was touched, I laughed out loud, and my perfect ending hopes were met. Sigh of happiness!!

Loved every bit of this book! From the true friendship, family struggles,fake friendship and loads of laughter that sneak up unexpectedly. But my favorite part is the etched in honesty way the Alexis really discovers what is truly important to herself that really resonated. Little growth spurts of Alexis finding herself and finding Daniel along the way! Just bliss!
