Schaeffer is not for the weak of mind or timid of spirit. His is a forceful, well-considered world view. He is honest and loving, full of integrity, and earnest in his convictions. I share his presuppositions, reasoning, and conclusions. I only wish I had trained myself as deeply as he and had his ability to convey True Truth as clearly. I summarize books I read. These summaries consist of quotes or paraphrases of what I find interesting, new, useful, or worth recollecting. Not this book. With Start, were I to quote or paraphrase all I found interesting, new, useful, and worth recollecting, I would repeat so much it would rightly be called wholesale plagiarism. This is an excellent book, full of useful information for anyone starting out in their 20s, regardless of how old they are.

Effective concepts with pragmatic details

The authors have clearly tested their concepts in the fire of modern corporate America. Based on the pragmatic details provided in the book, it's clear the authors have a great deal of experience implementing their 12-week year model. As with all books of this type, the authors sometimes retreat to platitudes, such as "learn to be positive". This is unavoidable because no single book can teach everything. The new concepts presented are of such a caliber that such skeletal guideposts are forgivable.

Regarding the performance, I found the voice talent excruciatingly slow. I like slow and plodding for fiction, but for technical and commercial information, I want it fast. Thank goodness for 1.5x speed on my player.
