Historia
Time may not heal all wounds, Jesse will learn. It will, however, do its part when we at least show up for our part. Getting There is an up and down, emotion-yanking, laugh-triggering, thought-provoking tale of betrayal, mystery, suspense, action, and adventure with more twists than a secondhand bread tie.

I didn't feel the book had an ending. Then to add to that angst, the second book is not available in Audible.

Title got my attention
Revisado: 05-19-16
I was intrigued by the title since there were news articles a couple of years ago about the Amber Room. The book was a fast listen and full of action. I felt that the book could have had more explanation for several parts of the story line.
I've realized that when I don't notice the narrator, that means he/she has done a very good job. That was the case for this book.

Historia
A man is missing, vanished in the uncharted wilds of the new northern territories. And not just any man, but a scholar - a scholar whose influence extends all the way to Washington. Jack Percy is asked to do the unthinkable: enter the hostile wilderness near the Canadian border, without the aid of military support, locate and extract the missing man. His reluctance is strong and sensible - the man has surely already met his fate. But something tugs at him, something internal, something more than the federal reward.

Not your ordinary mystery/thriller
Revisado: 05-02-16
This book was not what I expected and I was not satisfied with the ending; but I did like the book. The characters were believable and I especially liked Emma. The author started a little slow, but I was more engaged as the characters developed. By the end of the book I couldn’t stop listening. I would be interested in other books by this author. The Narrator was good in my opinion.

Historia
Chuck Rittenburg was one of the most intrepid storm chasers in the country until a bad decision resulted in the death of a young couple who'd paid to ride along. A decade later - broke, divorced, and estranged from his college-age children - he's got nothing left to lose. When a film producer offers Chuck one million dollars to help find and photograph a deadly tornado in Oklahoma, Chuck sees a chance to earn his kids' respect again-and maybe his own.

Tornado Alley Deja Vu
Revisado: 04-11-16
Having grown up on the plains, gone to college in Oklahoma and currently residing in the Panhandle of Texas, this book was familiar in a lot of ways (except for the snake). My attention was captured early in the book and I would have liked to listen to it in one sitting, but couldn’t. The meteorological information was thorough and interesting, but it didn’t sound like a textbook. The characters were well developed. I loved the Osage Indian and hated the Hollywood mogul. “Sooner the Better”, the magazine cover for the FBI agent made me chuckle.

More Insight into Savannah
Revisado: 04-07-16
Where does Killer Reunion rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Top 10% of the books to which I've listened
What did you like best about this story?
I "felt" this book more than any of the other Savannah Reid stories. Her emotional attachment to childhoods events was well written.
Which scene was your favorite?
The end of the book when Granny Reid reveals her birthday "resolution" was my favorite.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I laughed and cried. In prior books laughter was the greater emotion, but in this one, I cried more. But that is not a bad thing.

Any additional comments?
This rational history of Europe includes enough background of major events and individuals to make the overview helpful. I found the inclusion of foremost artists of the time of the events very interesting. Concise is appropriate in the title, so don’t expect detailed history or chronology; but as an introduction and foundation for further reading, it was helpful. The narrator was excellent, thus listening to the book was a pleasure.

Historia
Hannah is thrilled to be marrying Ross Barton, her college crush. And her excitement only grows when she learns he'll be able to join her on her trip to New York City for the Food Channel's dessert chef contest. They get a taste of the Big Apple before Hannah wins the Hometown Challenge and the producers bring all the contestants to Lake Eden to tape the remainder of the show. It's nerve-wracking enough being judged by Alain Duquesne, a celebrity chef with a nasty reputation. But it's even more chilling to find him stabbed to death in the Lake Eden Inn's walk-in cooler.

Historia
In a Dry Season, winner of the Anthony Award, is an outstanding example of mystery fiction. Peter Robinson's Detective Chief Inspector Alan Banks conjures up memories of classic detectives like Philip Marlowe and Sherlock Holmes. An insufferable drought ravages the Yorkshire countryside, depleting the Thornfield Reservoir, revealing the remnants of the flooded town of Hobb's End and the terrible secrets kept safe within its watery tomb. Amongst the ruins, the remains of a woman's body are discovered.

Historia
Amelia Peabody embarks on her first Egyptian adventure armed with unshakable self-confidence, a journal for her thoughts, and, of course, a sturdy umbrella. On her way, she rescues Evelyn Barton-Forbes, who has been "ruined" and abandoned on the streets of Rome by her lover. With a typical disregard for convention, Amelia promptly hires her fellow countrywoman as a companion and takes her to Cairo, where strange visitations and a botched kidnapping convince Amelia that there is a plot afoot to harm Evelyn.

The Start of Hours of Entertainment
Revisado: 10-23-11
Several years ago, this was the first audible book to which I listened. I really enjoyed the listening experience and I found the book and, ultimately, the series extremely enjoyable. I have listened to all of the books in the series, except those which are only available as adbridged. I dislike abridged versions as a rule and have only listened to them when I accidentally purchased.
