I’m not gonna lie, this book is dark. What is does is remind you that everyone has a story. We are complex creatures. The main character takes you on a journey, and it’s through her lense that we are reminded to have empathy towards each other. I found myself rooting for her the whole way. It’s also a great example of how psychedelics have a very necessary and relevant place in therapy. I’m bummed her “friend” gets a chapter, but overall really enjoyed this book.
