Historia
It all began when the half-able wizard Questor Thews announced that finally he could restore the Court Scribe Abernathy to human form. It was his spell that had turned Abernathy into a Wheaten Terrier - though with hands and able to talk. All went well - until the wizard breathed the magic dust of his spell and suddenly sneezed. Then, where Abernathy had stood, there was only a bottle containing a particularly evil imp.

A continuation of Adventure
Revisado: 02-10-25
I liked the story overall. But I felt that there was some jarring moments where the Author didn't transition from one part to another as well as he could have done. and I at one point was shouting "Why not give them to Willow?!" some parts were quite detailed and others felt abridged. But Willow Elizabeth and Abernathy were the stars in this story. and I learned a few things about writing a novel in the process.

Historia
Not every danger comes in the form of a mega-threat like a Titan. Some predators are a lot cozier...more personal. When one such creature threatens an independent tutor, Harry Dresden must shake off the blood and dirt of his most recent battles and rise to the occasion, even when it turns out that the new predator is far more dangerous and connected than first appearances would suggest.

Perfect for lite listening.
Revisado: 10-24-22
I was so thrilled to learn about a new Dresden story. After discovering it was to be read by Jim Butcher the Author- I was even happier as James Marsden is not my favorite narrator. I got the story on a Friday and it was the perfect amount of distraction I needed in order to be able to complete my *boring* but necessary task at work. And it was just humorous enough that I didn't burst out laughing in an office full of people- I was able to contain the chuckles, but only just. This a great short story. I love that we got back to the roots of the series and had Dresden dealing with the mortal world and the intersection of the complications of being a wizard bound to Winter. I also loved Dresden and dealing with loss- Grief that is aching and paralyzing and yet life requires you to keep on trucking on. It is not a long story and I would have loved to see Dresden open a Way and drag that sniveling pimp through the unseen world.
All in all a great listen for a short trip or while working around the house or at a desk.
Thank you Jim Butcher.

Historia
Thumbing across the scorched West Texas desert, loner Jack Reacher has nowhere to go and all the time in the world to get there. Cruising the same stretch of two-lane blacktop is pretty Carmen Greer. But for Reacher, the lift comes with a hitch. Carmen's got a story to tell, and it's a wild one. All about her husband, her family secrets, and a hometown that's pure Gothic. She's also got a plan. Jack Reacher's part of it. And before the sun sets, this ride could cost them both their lives.

I loved this book! Only thing lacking were the PDFs that were supposed to be included. Edit- PDF's are only available through a PC which having a kindle Fire is a lack on the part of Amazon.
