What disappointed you about The Hunter?
The story was not up to what I was used to in the John Lescroart's book. It just didn't flow for me. Really and truly, not sure it was the story or the bad narrator. I have listened to hundreds of audiobooks and I can only think of one other time that I hated the narrator as much as I hated this one. That one happened to be the author himself narrating the book.
What could John Lescroart have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Get a different narrator and develop it a little better. It lacked depth
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Eric Dawe?
Scott Brick. Almost anyone but this guy. He was just terrible.
You didn???t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
No. I would never recommend it to anyone to read or certainly not to listen to. I will never buy another book with this man as the narrator. Life is to short and my commutes are to long.

I agree with some of the reviewers. I wish I had read the reviews before I wasted a credit on this book. I went off of past successes. The woman narrator was nothing but annoying, with her different voices and all of the women had very demeaning and made to look stupid roles. I struggled to finish the book. If it had been a library audiobook on loan I would have taken it back early.

This book had a very interesting plot and had the possiblity of going on with it and keeping your interest for several more chapters but all of a sudden it's over. Very disappointing.

I gave this book a one star because there wasn't a place to give it no stars. I, like several other people, bought this book based on other books Patricia Cornwell had written. What a mistake. I have never given up on an audiobook before but I am on this one. It's not worth the time and effort it takes to try and understand it. I should have read the reviews before I purchased it. I have learned.

David Baldacci's "The Whole Truth" is just any other action hero type book. I have read his other books and this one wasn't anything different or special but it requires two credits to "Buy" it. Definitely not worth it.

I listened to this book in spite of the "he said" "she said" way it was written. Once, I got into the story and cared about the people it wasn't as annoying as the first few chapters were. After a while I realized that it was written like a chief of police was telling the story. I enjoyed the book.
