Historia
Blue Echohawk doesn't know who she is. She doesn't know her real name or when she was born. Abandoned at two and raised by a drifter, she didn't attend school until she was ten years old. At nineteen, when most kids her age are attending college or moving on with life, she is just a senior in high school. With no mother, no father, no faith, and no future, Blue Echohawk is a difficult student, to say the least.

Thought provoking

This is truly a wonderful read. I've read quite a few of Amy harmons books and this might be my new favourite. The story had many twists and turns and the character development was amazing.
Narration is always on point too

My father wants desperately to be king, and I just want to be free. But freedom will require escape, and I'm a prisoner of my mother's curse and my father's greed. Amazing!
Revisado: 03-25-25
This book was a fantasy book and I think it may be her first one.
I love fantasy books but often don't read them due to the amount of names and species (for lack of a better word 😂 ) and also many are just terrible. But this book grabbed me from the get go. I found the concept so intriguing and wondrous. The characters were beautiful as all of her characters through out her books are.
Story telling at its finest!

Beautiful story

This book was recommended to me and I'm so glad I read it. Such a beautiful story and I loved hearing about Samuel and his Native American background.
The narrator did a fabulous job that really added to the story

Sweet and delicate story
Revisado: 01-18-25
I always appreciate this Authors way of creating a story that steers away from the black and white we may sometimes live by. It's that very thing that has you pondering the book well after you have read it.
James was a breath of fresh air that was needed to tackle these hard topics in this book and was such a pleasure to read. Great banter between the characters too.

Revisado: 10-16-24
Reading any of jewel e Anns books are guaranteed to be good. They always are. But there's a few that you read that when you put down you decide to be a little bit better. Better wife, better mum or just better something. When an author can do that it's pretty profound. This book was one of those.

This might be the book that gets me back into reading fantasy again!
So well done. Not that spicy but totally didn't mind as the story is goood!
I will say at times though there's a lot of information rolling in that I found myself having to repeat things so I could take it all in.

Historia
Eight months ago, I was a naive, small-town farm girl nursing a shattered heart. Then hotel billionaire Henry Wolf picked me up off the ground (literally), and my entire life changed. Now, I live in a luxurious Manhattan penthouse, and I'm starting my first company while planning a beautiful wedding to the man of my dreams. I knew these first months would bring plenty of drama. I expected the savage media attention surrounding our engagement, and I braced myself for Mama's theatrics about the wedding.

Couldn't put this down
Revisado: 09-15-24
Ok so after binge listening to this I finally finished!
I absolutely loved all these characters so much.
I thought the author really captured the young innocence of Abby is such a way that I felt myself going back in time. Her progression throughout the book was truly so on point by the end it was hard to believe she was 22.
I admit to hating H the fist two books but by the end he is swoon. I feel a loss for Ronan and I hope the author can write a book about his happy ending. For a while there I wanted to hit Abby over the head for not choosing him.
This series is 5 books long and as much as I have loved it I do believe that it could of been taken down to 3 books.
The narrator was fantastic although in the last book her voice changes a bit that I don't think quite reflected Abby's character. It was a bit sassy.

Historia
Hawken Trent. So polite. So sweet. Such an upstanding young man. A virgin, too, I hear. He never gets naughty with a girl. Probably because Jesus told him not to. And now here he is, trying to be the hero by protecting another girl from me. He calls me a bully. Irrational. Unreasonable. A criminal. He can call me anything he wants, I’ve heard worse. And he can try to stand between me and my money, but he’s never had to fight for food. That rich, clean, school boy doesn’t have what it takes

A bit of a let down
Revisado: 03-16-24
This book involved a very sensitive subject matter but it just didn't have the character development and story to match the dynamics of that subject. It was like reading a diary. The main character was flawless which I just don't get into and you never really get to know the wife well and his devotion to her just seems unrealistic. Jewel e Ann has written some amazing books like jersey six and undeniably you that just knocks your socks off so to read something like this it almost seems like it's not from the same author.
