Historia
At first, it looks like a disease. An epidemic that spreads through no known means, driving its victims mad with memories of a life they never lived. But the force that’s sweeping the world is no pathogen. It’s just the first shock wave, unleashed by a stunning discovery - and what’s in jeopardy is not our minds but the very fabric of time itself. In New York City, Detective Barry Sutton is closing in on the truth - and in a remote laboratory, neuroscientist Helena Smith is unaware that she alone holds the key to this mystery...and the tools for fighting back.

Good universie, dissappointed w/ aspect of 7.
Revisado: 04-22-25
Pro's -
Solid tie in w/ Picard.
Nice to get a bridge for a character from Voyager, who was pretty important to the show as it went on.
Really liked the presentation of the frontier space, and how it isn't "semi - utopian Star Trek".
Adds realism to the universe.
REALLY liked that Seven has to change, and she is working on interpersonal skills, experiencing emotion, that sort of character development.
Cons -
REALLY DID NOT LIKE the direction that Seven changed in her same sex relationship bent.
Considering not finishing b/c I just do not like those scenes.
I do find myself fast forwarding.

Historia
Ellingham Academy is a famous private school in Vermont for the brightest thinkers, inventors, and artists. It was founded by Albert Ellingham, an early 20th century tycoon, who wanted to make a wonderful place full of riddles, twisting pathways, and gardens. "A place", he said, "where learning is a game." Shortly after the school opened, his wife and daughter were kidnapped. The only real clue was a mocking riddle listing methods of murder, signed with the frightening pseudonym "Truly, Devious".

For years, Starfleet Intelligence agents have carried out undercover assignments deep within the Klingon Empire. Surgically altered and rigorously trained in Klingon culture, they operate in plain sight and without any direct support, while collecting information and infiltrating the highest levels of imperial power. Their actions have given Starfleet valuable insight into the inner workings of Klingon government and its relentless military apparatus. After three of Starfleet’s longest serving agents fear exposure, they initiate emergency extraction procedures.

Totally Trek
Revisado: 02-06-25
Totally Star Trek, but a two part episode. A lot of story here, paralles all of the structures in the best episodes of TOS / TNG. Great story, Over the Top just a wee bit like most good Trek, and the narrator brings the characters to life.

Historia
Among the ashes of a dying world, an agent of the Commandment finds a letter. It reads: Burn before reading. Thus begins an unlikely correspondence between two rival agents hellbent on securing the best possible future for their warring factions. Now, what began as a taunt, a battlefield boast, becomes something more. Something epic. Something romantic. Something that could change the past and the future. Except the discovery of their bond would mean the death of each of them. There’s still a war going on, after all. And someone has to win. That’s how war works, right?

Quite disappointed - found it hard to follow.
Revisado: 01-30-25
As described - much o/t book is letters between two main characters. Language requires some thought to parse out what they are saying. Wish I had not bought this book, had it on my list for a long time, it sounded great.

Historia
Forensic pathologist Grace Reilly has seen her share of unusual deaths in rural Missouri. But when she begins to notice a curious pattern in autopsies of older residents whose demises appear to be natural, she takes her concerns to Sheriff Nate Cox. Nate is skeptical about the link Grace is seeing between the deaths, as well as her suspicions of foul play. But her persistence is compelling. And once they join forces to investigate, danger follows. Because exposing the truth could destroy several lives—including Grace’s.

Narration great - Solid twist ending
Revisado: 01-22-25
Liked most of the story, but didn’t like that super important plot points were handed to the Sheriff character.
Really liked the attraction between main characters and lack of sex - appreciate that.
Narrator very well matched to book and MC.

Revisado: 08-16-24
Way too much smutiness. Should have known do to the word [concubine] in the description. This book is not categorized as "romance" or "erotic",
Some of you may like listening to an android having sex sith her tranport system, then lewd conversations with her hotel.
Not for me.

Not an earth shattering write - but a fantasic rea
Revisado: 08-13-24
J. D. Ledford does it again. Very well matched narrator to book. the book is a bit corny - just how much can a burrito do as a supporting actor in a book? The antoganist is over the top as read by J. D. Ledford, and that was EXACTLY what I wanted.
Bought because the idea sounded really funny, and it is, and J. D. Ledford does a great job w/ the book.

Light horror, not heavy; GREAT narrator match.
Revisado: 08-13-24
First - we some to audible often times hoping for a great narrator match to story, characters, environment. This match up delivers. Jon Grilz captures the essance of Gas Station Jack.
Second - The book delivers well on myst points of the summary (the racoons were a little light), so you are getting what you think you are getting. Entertaining but light on the horror side (which is great, I don't think I'd like this if it went any deeper in that space than it did).
TTFN,
