Great characters, lovely story & funny twists along the way.

First thing to note, the protagonist is very annoying, and the narrator does a perfectly irritating accent in the beginning. Stay with it. I almost stopped in the first chapter due to how whiny the protagonist is. It absolutely pays off. While the plot could probably fit within a Hallmark movie, the way the author does, this is so much better.The characters are great. They all have an arc and while the spiritual bon mots are rubbish, the storyline is great. I am getting up to go. I highly recommend. Yes.

Really solid, fun Star Trek story.

Very well executed, fun relational story with a moral tale thrown in about prejudice. Relationships were developed and done in a thoroughly entertaining way. As sci-fi is so well geared to do, it was able to present the ugly face of prejudice and a full, clear way that was probably less threatening than earthly politics.

Fun and clever, You know, standard Scalzi

John Scalzi often merges other worldly creatures with ordinary worldly problems. Constituent Service takes on city bureaucracy with alien issues. All slicing and dicing with that wit and light humor we’ve come to expect.

A more thoughtful Star Wars story with a bit of a slow start and a good finish

This story started out slower than most Star Wars books. While all have interpersonal relationships and politics, which is a good thing, this stayed in micro-stories for quite some time. However, all of those micro-stories were woven together in an action filled ending. Had I stopped halfway through, this would’ve been my least favorite. However, it came through in the end. Good solid Star Wars tale.

Well done, but missed the sparkling dialog of Alleyn

Well done with characters that you think you’ve come to know through the story. Inspector Allen wasn’t given his sparkling dialog and the murderer was a bit of a disappointment.

Clever, with interesting characters, and good narrative flow. A sequel worthy of The Vice Witch.

The Glamourist continues the trajectory of The Vine Witch with some nice surprising, turns a few more interesting characters and a little peak into the underbelly of late 19 century Paris

Sweet story, very imaginative

First, the production is just amazing. Doesn’t get any better than this. The story is clever, but easy to follow for its target audience. Simply a sweet story of relationship, fervent love and the power of love (obviously a theme for Jo Rowling)

Brilliant character based story

An intriguing twist to time travel

Not gonna give much details here, because I don’t wanna give spoilers, but this was a unique take on time travel, including a romance and interesting sets of powers. The narrative moves along quickly with good character development, especially for the protagonist, and overall a fun great ride. The characters were different and fully flushed out. The world in which this time travel occurs was a brilliant amalgamation of the real world the designed one. Loved it.

Steven’s does a marvelous job on a fantastical story

Murder on the Orient express is a classic for a reason. The characters, the convoluted plot , and of course, Hercule Poirot himself make for an intriguing and entertaining story. Dan Stevens does a marvelous job with all the voices bringing the story to life.
