Historia
Have you ever had a crush on your babysitter? Taryn Ross sure did. Sixteen-year-old Charlotte was sophisticated, thoughtful, gorgeous, and fun. Taryn counted the minutes until they’d hang out. But Charlotte and her family moved away. Now a transfer student at Hillspoint University, Taryn is ready to officially come out when she runs into a familiar face at a party. Charlie, now a grad student, insists on walking a drunk Taryn home. To the detriment of Taryn’s heart (and libido), Charlie has only grown kinder (and hotter) with time.

Cutesy Self Discovery and Love
Revisado: 07-22-24
This was cute. The characters are funny and they blend together nicely once their story progresses. The conflict wasn’t as awful as it could’ve been (I hate unnecessary miscommunication tropes) and the ending was cute.

Historia
Thomasina Miller knew from a young age she wasn't like other girls. She didn't want to be a rancher's wife, so she makes the harrowing decision to leave all she's known, risking everything for the chance to choose her own fate in life. Now going by "Thomas", she realizes hiding her identity is a rather small price to pay for the freedom to live her own life and the Klondike Gold Rush is the perfect opportunity to help fund her endeavor.

It’s good
Revisado: 03-25-24
I’d been debating on this title for a while now and finally gave it a chance.
The story itself is good. I do like the build up between the two MCs and how they came together but after that…kinda dragged on a bit. I almost think this would be better in just book form vs audiobook. But that might’ve had something to do with the narrator.
I was not a fan of the airy almost too girlish way Rachel was voiced. Thomas had a great voice, so that was good but in the beginning I really couldn’t stand the voice used for Rachel. Over time I sorta got used to it but it just didn’t do it for me. And the cadence of how she speaks was a mix of slow and drawn out or almost abrupt (but I kinda wonder if that’s more from editing than anything).
So yeah. Story was cute. Narrator isn’t bad but not my favorite. Would still recommend though if you like gender-bending historical sapphic romances.

Historia
Life has become a farcical mess for icy British A-lister Elizabeth Thornton. America's most-hated villain stars in a top-rated TV medical drama that she hates. Now, she's been romantically linked to her perky, new co-star, Summer, due to the young woman's clumsiness. As a closeted actress, that's the last thing Elizabeth needs. If she could just get her dream movie role, life would be so much better. The only problem is that the eccentric French film-maker offering it insists on meeting her "girlfriend", Summer, first.

I loved these two

Nothing like a misunderstood “ice queen” and the sweetest girl next door to make a perfect match. These two were great. I was sucked in almost immediately. The story felt well paced and had a good tension building pace. I liked it!

Historia
Driven and efficient businesswoman Vivienne Alexander reluctantly finds herself at a speed-dating night after her friend buys her a ticket. It'll probably be a waste of time anyway, she tells herself. She doesn’t need a relationship to make her whole. So, when an alluring stranger with bright smiles and a riot of auburn hair predicts Vivienne will be in her bed by the end of the night, she’s not sure which is more surprising: the sheer cockiness or the thrill that shoots through her.

Mostly Hilarious
Revisado: 03-08-24
Okay, CC is freaking hilarious. Talk about no filter whatsoever lol. I laughed out loud repeatedly while listening to this book.
The story itself was pretty good. I did enjoy the chemistry between the two MCs. I think it wasn’t too fast or too slow paced. It was only toward the last like hour and a half that I kinda got a little meh about things. In the very end though, it was good. I would still listen to this again despite that little tiny bit. Would recommend!

This was cute. Just enough give and take without going overboard too much. It’s definitely a “fall fast and quick” kinda story but I do like how their story played out after the falling in love part. It’s like those times you wish you knew more about a pair after they fall in love and the story ends. Here you get to see a bit about the aftermath of the love story. I like it 😁

I loved this one
Revisado: 02-20-24
This was such a good book! Like, sucked me in and didn’t let me go (especially for such a short tale). I loved Carson and Kerry. Their chemistry was perfect. The player who refuses to love and the woman who doesn’t know what love is until she meets HER. Add in the dose of family drama and idiot (& somewhat mean, tbh) brothers, the whole tale came together nicely.
I loved it. Would definitely recommend.

Historia
Jacqueline Keys was ostracized from her small hometown of Pine Springs, Texas, when she was 17, sent away because she was gay. Fifteen years later - long after she'd hitch-hiked to Los Angeles, put herself through college, and had written her first best seller - Jacqueline is persuaded to go back to the tiny town of Pine Springs after her father's death. The quick trip she'd envisioned for the funeral turns into weeks as she learns her father's business is suddenly hers to manage. And she is also again face-to-face with the woman who, as a teen, had been Jackie's first crush.

Revisado: 01-26-24
So I’ve had this book for years and it’s definitely a favorite of mine. But I’ve never listened to it in audiobook form before.
Ugh, I loved it so much. It was so fun getting to know this characters in audio form and the narrator is a favorite of mine, so that made it even better. I would definitely recommend this one over and over again. It’s cute and it’s got a good story. The characters have great chemistry and it’s a lovely little slow burn. 🔥

This is the second book of Robin Alexander that I’ve read and I was not let down. I can’t even tell you how many times I laughed out loud repeatedly while listening to this book. It was sooo funny. I loved it. It was a cute somewhat fast paced romance and it hit all the right spots.

Born and raised in St. Claire, Lindsay Juneau's life was seemingly full raising a six-year-old daughter and caring for her widowed mother. Of course, things aren't always what they seem, and the newest resident of St. Claire isn't buying the ruse. Veterinarian Nicole Allen is looking for something different. She finds it in St. Claire with its hypochondriac rabbits, shotgun-toting shut-ins, and eclectic mix of people. The most alluring, though, is a woman who's also looking for something different.

I loved this one. It made me laugh out loud several times and even tear up. The characters are adorable. Will definitely listen to this one again.
I’ve listened to other books with Lori as the narrator. She’s good. This one she did sort of have the same tone sometimes for each MC but the things she does like (a lisp, yawns, etc) really make up for those moments. I think she really brought them to life, especially little Alexis lol.
