Historia
Ever since he was a kid, kicking broken soccer balls on the run-down streets of East London, Gary Stevenson dreamed of something bigger. As luck would have it, he was good at numbers. At the London School of Economics, wearing tracksuits and sneakers, Stevenson shocked his posh classmates by winning a competition called “The Trading Game.” The prize? A golden ticket to a new life, as the youngest trader at Citibank.

Worth reading or listening to. Pick up what you believe is true. Leave the rest.
Revisado: 05-22-24
It’s very difficult for a person to write their own story without embellishing the truth in parts. For me, those things are hard to get past. The story is good and I believe a good deal of the story is true so I would recommend this book. The last few chapters are very hard to enjoy and give a little more insight into the author and his decision making and how far he went to re-write his story I believe. Minus that crap the book is very good.

Interesting, entertaining, incredulous at times.

A good story told well by the author who also narrates the audio version himself. But, like most biographies written by the subject the truth is subjective. I still enjoyed the book very much and would recommend it to anyone interested in this genre.

There wasn’t a boring or bad chapter. This was one of those books you try to savor and slow your way through, dreading reaching the end. I hope Mr. Papic writes another book at some point.

Historia
As a cop, Ron Previte was corrupt. As a mobster, he was brutal. And in his final role, as a confidential informant to the FBI, Previte was deadly. The Last Gangster is his story—the story of the last days of the Philadelphia Mob, and of the clash of generations that brought it down once and for all. Convinced that the honor of the "business" was gone, he became the FBI's secret weapon in an intense and highly personalized war on the Philadelphia mob, operating with the same guile, wit, and stone-cold bravado that had made him a force in the underworld.

Anastasia further discredits himself and career
Revisado: 01-07-23
Like ‘Gotti’s Boys’ George Anastasia writes another terrible book of lies marketed as a true crime biography. Anastasia used to be one of the most respected reporters in the field but for some reason he has written a bunch of pure trash in the past decade. He couldn’t have believe half of the stuff Previte told him while writing this. It’s like every chapter came straight from Previte’s ego and imagination. His own revisionist history. Skip reading this book entirely.

Normal thinking leads to normal results. For exceptional results, traders must think differently. This book will guide and inspire you in ways no other trading book has. It is not about strategies and money management. It is about mind management. Tom Hougaard provides a unique and refreshingly personal account of how an ordinary trader elevated his game to incredible heights by focusing as much on his mental approach as on his technical analysis. Best Loser Wins explains how you, by thinking differently when you are trading, can elevate your game from mediocre to excellent.

A great lesson from the greatest living futures trader
Revisado: 08-10-22
They say ‘those who know, do, and those who don’t teach.’ Well, Tom is an anomaly as he does and he teaches. As a member/student of his free Telegram channel I’ve had the privilege of being taught by Tom through all of the things he puts out there for free each day. But his doing (trading) is what we learn from the most. His transparency and no BS way of teaching is unlike anything you’ll find elsewhere. A lot of that is in this book. If you don’t know about Tom, this book is a good way to begin. If you do, then I don’t have to tell you to try this book. You already know.

Great bio from who is in my opinion the greatest MC of all-time
Revisado: 06-13-22
Black Thought. The talented Mr. Trotter proves that there is nothing that he does that isn’t great. He proves that he is a true renaissance man in that he can do anything he sets out to do at a top notch level. Also proving that he has never changed and has always stayed true to himself. His beliefs and music have never needed a renaissance per say. He set out to never do what they do. The truth is they could never do what he can do. Mr. Trotter has one of the most fascinating and inspiring stories of any person in the public eye today. He has been one of my heroes for nearly two decades and I will teach my son his story and his music in the years to come. 5-stars.

Solid book on Trend Following and one of it’s greatest practitioners
Revisado: 07-26-21
Like all of Covel’s books this one is to the point yet not brief. Detailed but not boring. Biased yet filled with facts and tons of experience to back his trend following bias. If you’re into trading the markets and are searching for some genuine methods Covel can lead you to several genuine traders who have made fortunes using this one.

Paul Kagame grew up as a wretched refugee. Then, after taking power, they amazed the world by stabilizing and reviving their devastated country.

A beautifully written book about our world’s greatest leader.
Revisado: 08-20-20
Kinzer does a great job of telling the story of Paul Kagame and the job he has done of helping to save Rwanda during the genocide and how he has helped to heal and preserve it afterward. I am from America. My wife is Tutsi and from Rwanda. After meeting and getting to know my wife years ago I wanted to learn as much as I possibly could about her country and her heritage. In doing so I had to learn about President Kagame. I believe him to be the greatest leader in our world right now. More than a hero. And this book contains so much of his story and Rwanda’s story. I highly recommend it to anyone interested.
