Insufferable narrators and bland story. Hare pass

Both narrators were OK at first but when they started attempting accents and voices for other characters they slide into bad quick. It quickly became irritating and I had to take breaks to get through the book. I have no idea why the female narrator whined, and I mean literally whined half of her lines when she's playing Avery.
There are few indicators to chapter changes, so you'll likely be lost for minutes trying to figure out what's happening and how it connects.
As for the story itself it was meh at best. The main female lead was entitled. The male lead was shallow and a lot of unnecessary anger that is not explained and therefore completely out of left field when as to why he's the way he is. His development (if you want to call it that) was rushed and unnatural. The two come together then suddenly they both have anger issues. Which makes no sense whatsoever and does nothing for the story/plot. I finished this book as a test of my will, Because it was so bad. I'm so disappointed because I really enjoyed so many other books from this author but this is a flaming no.

Just Plain Bad

It has the bones of an okay story. The narrators for a great listening experience but everything else was just plain bad. There was little cohesive plot that you can lose yourself in. It's very shallow and forced in the romance and action department. I was pumped for black female in a MC romance but this way so far fetched my eyes started hurting from rolling them so much. Hard pass.

I can look, but I can’t touch. As the enforcer of The Lost Boys MC, I am used to getting my hands dirty. I’ve always kept my emotions in check. It helps given the position I am in. When I was tasked with watching over our President’s sister, I was ready for it. What I wasn’t ready for, is how that beauty would pull at my heart. I’ve known Ella for years.

What a waste

The stories were absolutely horrible. Everything was so far fetched, unrealistic, and unrelatable that I couldn't even stomach more than two secs at a time without rolling my eyes in a wtf-ganism. I want my credit back, I think this was a hate crime against imaginations.
