Historia
Southern belle BeBe Loudermilk has lost all her worldly possessions, thanks to a brief but disastrous relationship with the gorgeous Reddy, an "investment counselor" who turns out to be a con man. All that's left is a ramshackle 1950s motel on Tybee Island, an eccentric beach town that calls itself a drinking village with a fishing problem.

A fun story of a great sting!
Revisado: 08-01-24
Loved this funny story… but did not like the narrator’s various character voices. The men’s voices all sounded as if they were brothers…and 80 years old!

Ready to Start Thinking Christmas!
Revisado: 07-28-24
It’s only August but I’m already thinking about my Christmas tree! This book has all of the elements we dream of for a country Christmas, the excitement of a city family’s bustling Christmas and the romance of a young couple’s developing love for all of this.. and each other. Mary Kay Andrews has woven these characters along with the many lives of local people into a wonderful Christmas story! So enjoyable to listen to the story unfold through the eyes of the many personalities you get to know.

Millie Barnes is this close to finally achieving her perfect life. Rewarding job as a local doctor on Cape Cod? Check. Cute cottage of her very own? Check. Adorable dog suitable for walks past attractive locals? Check! All she needs is for golden boy and former crush Joe Carpenter to notice her, and Millie will be set. But perfection isn't as easy as it looks - especially when Sam Nickerson, a local policeman, is so distracting. He is definitely not part of her master plan. But maybe it's time for Millie to make a new plan....

It’s a saying all of us have come across. Laughter has proven itself to be a natural form of medicine that is available to everyone, and it can help you both physically and mentally. It helps you relax and relieve stress, all the while boosting your immune system by releasing endorphins. Laughter also helps prevent potential heart diseases, as you laugh your blood flow increases which in turn improves the function of your blood vessels. But the best part is, it brings you joy.

Love 3 narrators!
Revisado: 03-02-23
I enjoyed this book a lot. I listen to many authors of stories about southern women facing the issues of today. I just finished a series where the narrator was awful about going back and forth between the accents of men and women and I found it hard not to giggle at times. I just enjoy the easy way each of these narrators dealt with the voice changes necessary. Looking forward to rest of the series!

Historia
Life's a bit of a beach these days for Ginger Walsh, who's single at 41 and living back home in the family FROG (Finished Room Over Garage). Geri, her BlackBerry-obsessed sister, is also nearly off the deep end, about her pending 50th birthday (and might just drag Ginger with her). Toss in a dumpster-picking father, a Kama Sutra T-shirt-wearing mother, a movie crew come to town with a very cute gaffer, an on-again, off-again glassblower boyfriend, plus a couple of Red Hat realtors, and hilarity ensues.

Life is a Beach!
Revisado: 11-02-21
I was looking for a fun, enjoyable, not as dramatic as some Nantucket/Vineyard stories. This book’s plot was in the right neighborhood, on Cape Cod. Loved the weaving of the characters lives within their family from Dad and Mom to Riley the 8 year old budding star. The study of wants and needs of each of the personalities to make
funny family relationships bloom. A happy good listen.
