Historia
Daniel Martin has never forgotten his childhood encounters with Frank Watkins, the man who built his family a summer home out of cardboard and plywood. Frank's gaze was oddly confusing, as if he was attempting to discern the proper way to behave because he didn't know how to respond in a human manner. Since Frank obviously wasn't an alien, young Daniel thought maybe the man was crazy. In the end, Daniel would learn the terrifying truth about Frank Watkins. And as an adult, Daniel is about to discover there are more of them out there.

It''s a no from me
Revisado: 01-19-21
I'm really glad this was included with the Audible membership because it would have been a total waste of money.... it sounds like it was written like a 60 year old man trying to talk like a 16 year old boy but the character is a 40 year old man. Totally bizarre. If I heard the words "bro" "mojo" or tw*t" one more time I was going to lose it. The storyline had so much potential but it was really a miss. The performances and the fact I didn't have to pay for it is the only thing that saves it.

I never knew exactly where this book was heading. When I thought I had an idea, it constantly took left turns and kept you guessing. It’s an exciting and thrilling story while also being beautiful and heartbreaking.

Historia
It’s been a decade since Trumanell Branson disappeared, leaving only a bloody handprint behind. Her pretty face still hangs like a watchful queen on the posters on the walls of the town’s Baptist church, the police station, and in the high school. They all promise the same thing: We will find you. Meanwhile, Tru's brother, Wyatt, lives as a pariah in the desolation of the old family house, cleared of wrongdoing by the police but tried and sentenced in the court of public opinion and in a new documentary about the crime.

INCREDIBLE
Revisado: 01-07-21
This was an exciting, interesting, heartbreaking and vindicating story all wrapped up in one. The author was able to make the book thrilling and exciting without the usual tricks and cliches of some mysteries/thrillers. You really felt for each and every character. It was one of those books you wanted to go on forever, and know all of the details of each of their lives. I wish I could erase my mind and go back to the beginning and read with fresh eyes again. LOVED it.

Pleasant Listen
Revisado: 02-19-19
I enjoyed this book, although I feel it lacked action. It started off strong and I thought there would be a lot more to the story than there was. It was neither here nor there for me. The premise is so interesting but I found it fell flat. I loved the narrator though! She was able to have clearly distinguishable voices for each character, even men, while not seeming cartoon-ish.

Missing Something
Revisado: 07-13-17
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I would say it was well-spent. I did laugh at parts, and I found the plot different and interesting. I thought it would go in a more exciting direction than it did.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
I was waiting for something big to happen, a climax, but it never came. It just fell flat for me.
Which scene was your favorite?
I liked when Eleanor was talking with Maria and she dives more into her mysterious past.
Any additional comments?
It was a quick, completely fine book. There was nothing amazing about it, but it wasn't horrible to listen to.

Amazing!
Revisado: 07-10-17
Would you listen to Spoonbenders again? Why?
Yes! There were so many twists and different parts, I'm sure I would notice something I had missed before. It would be interesting to listen again knowing the end now.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Spoonbenders?
When everything came together at the end, when Buddy's future visions and planning paid off and everything he did finally made sense.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It was hilarious but it also kept me at the edge of my seat.
Any additional comments?
I loved this book. I wish it was a series!

Just Okay
Revisado: 06-27-17
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Probably not. It took me weeks to get through, simply because I wasn't excited to get back into listening. It wasn't awful but I have other books I like much better.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
The ending was definitely the best part. It had some greats twists I didn't see coming, and there was a definitive ending which I liked. The whole set up for the ending was just dragged out and repetitive for me.
What about Penelope Rawlins and Daniel Weyman ’s performance did you like?
I think they did an amazing job. I could always tell who was speaking by the subtle changes in their voices.
Could you see Remember Me This Way being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
I can see maybe a movie. They'd have to add a little more action, but it could be interesting enough.
