Historia
Drew Marshall may have let me move into his spare bedroom while my house is being renovated, but don’t think for one second his kindness comes without strings - big, ugly fake-relationship strings. That’s okay, though, Dr. Andrew. I’ll agree to your terms, move into your house, and act like your girlfriend when the big day comes, but I also plan to make your life miserable - make you pay for what you did to me. I may not be good at forgiving or forgetting, but I’m excellent at getting even.

Suspend belief
Revisado: 07-19-23
The story requires you to suspend all belief in reality and is very cliché. Not the worst book I’ve listened to, but very improbable.

Historia
When Parker Blanton meets Ben Olsen during her freshman year of college, the connection is immediate - and platonic. Six years later, they're still best friends, sharing an apartment in Portland's trendy Northwest District as they happily settle into adult life. But when Parker's boyfriend dumps her out of the blue, she starts to wonder about Ben's no-strings-attached approach to dating. The trouble is, even with Ben as her wingman, Parker can't seem to get the hang of casual sex - until she tries it with him.

Ok story... narration is underwhelming
Revisado: 05-01-20
The performances are fine, but the voices and delivery don’t fit the characters in my opinion.

Too long...
Revisado: 04-20-20
I feel like this book could have been much shorter. I really enjoyed book 1, but I struggled to get through this book. I realize the important of the book in developing the plot and characters, but it could have been half as long. I am on to book 2 and I have higher hopes.

Good story, but a few elements lacking
Revisado: 04-17-20
I really enjoyed the story. I thought the character development was good and the angst made it hard to stop listening. However, my main complaint is that the female narrators voice did not fit the character at all. I found her voice to be on the mature side for a mid to late 20’s character and she lacked the depth of emotion that makes a narration memorable. I also would have enjoyed more steam and for the story to have continued on a bit past where it ended.

Historia
When I first encountered Ford Donovan, I had no idea who he was...well, other than the obvious. Young, gorgeous, successful, smart. Did I mention young? If I did, it bears repeating. Ford Donovan was too young for me. Let’s back up to how it all started. My best friend decided I needed to start dating again. So, without my knowledge, she set up a profile for me on a popular dating site - one that invited men ages 21 to 27 to apply for a date.

Great story, male narrator not so great
Revisado: 12-12-19
Loved the book. Great story and Andi Arndt delivers another great performance, but the male narrator kinda ruined it for me. The male narrator’s performance didn’t fit the story. The character was supposed to be a 25 year old, but sounded more like a 40 something detective. I LOVE having the dual narrators in the story, but I just could picture the voice with the character. Definitely a bad casting.
