Historia
The entirety of Olive Township is looking forward to the fast-approaching day when Daisy St. James will say "I do" to the town golden boy. There’s just one little catch. Daisy isn’t in love. Her impending nuptials are transactional in nature, and that suits Daisy just fine. She learned the hard way a long time ago that true love does not exist, so what does it matter if her marriage is a farce?

it was a good start to the series
Revisado: 04-30-25
The narration was okay, but at the beginning, there was a noticeable volume discrepancy between the two narrators.
I enjoyed the story and the characters, but while listening, I found myself questioning the thin line between what counts as cheating and what doesn’t. I think that's what stuck to me the most. Other than that Im definitely looking forward to Hugo's story. His personality and past is a tease all on their own.

Historia
One year, two opposites, and a love that will blindside and, ultimately, shatter them. She's an aspiring interior designer who dreams of falling in love. He's an ex-football star who thinks love is a con. She's a virgin, and he doesn't do virgins. He's cocky, infuriating, and not her type. She wants the fairytale. He wants freedom. Blake and Farrah shouldn't have fallen for each other the way they did: totally, completely, and irrevocably.

I wanted so much to love it
Revisado: 04-27-25
I really wanted to love this one, but not even the good narrators could save it for me. The only reason I made it through the whole book was because I’m planning to read or listen to the next one.
Having a sequel is usually a big sign that the characters might not get a happy ending or a proper conclusion to their story. But having the reason they didn’t end up together revealed in the prologue practically ruined it for me.

I’m just so exhausted—always living on the edge of desperation, one paycheck away from ruin. But this new job… It could be the fresh start I need. It could change everything. The contract is only for three months, but if I keep my head down, work hard, and prove myself, maybe I could stay longer. Maybe I could make Black Mountain Lodge my home. As I pull down the gravel drive, surrounded by the forest and mountains and bright blue skies, I feel something I haven’t felt in a while. I feel hope.

love it!
Revisado: 04-03-25
As always SJ Tilly delivered! I enjoyed the Mountain Boss from the softie grumpy MMC, the FMC who does not give up and the Black Mountain Lodge employees to the plot and setting of the book. I particularly liked this one because the communication between the main characters was good albeit somethings can be forgotten they would give one the benefit of the doubt.
Also, to anyone who sees this, do you know any mountain lodge where I can find a Sterling? lol but kidding aside the book was amazing. It had a good balance of humor romance and a little bit of suspense
The narrators were amazing in portraying the characters. Its a bonus that the audiobook was a duet.

Sabrina Leal moved to Bliss looking for a new start. She’s in charge of building a school system from scratch and is excited about the challenge. What she didn’t count on was the surliest bar owner she’s ever met. Sawyer Hathaway gets under her skin in the most annoying way. He’s arrogant and sometimes rude, and she can’t stop thinking about him. It’s easier to ignore him when it’s only Sawyer. But when she meets his best friend, Wyatt, he’s light to Sawyer’s darkness, and the combination calls to Sabrina in a way she might not be able to deny.

It was okay
Revisado: 02-08-25
This was my first time reading both a reverse harem novel and a book by this author. I found it a bit overwhelming. Not because it was my first harem story, but because there were so many characters to keep track of. However, as an introduction to the trope, it was a great experience. The plot was enjoyable, and the main characters had distinct personalities that balanced their relationship as a throuple.
The narrators were good but there were times that I got confused between Sawyer and Wyatt. Maybe that's just me tho lol

It was good
Revisado: 12-15-24
3.5 ★ Having loved and enjoyed the first book in the series, I was so excited to listen to this one. The writing, story, and narrator's performance were all excellent. However, I couldn’t give this a solid four stars because of Eliana. I kept waiting for her character to develop like Corin's did, and every time it felt like she was growing, she seemed to take two steps back.
There’s definitely an untold story here, and it most likely connects directly to another installment. If there’s a third book, I’ll definitely be picking it up.

Revisado: 12-02-24
Knight's Bride was a fun audiobook to listen to. I enjoyed Rachiele and Telon's adventure and banters. I didn't like how the lack of communication between them toward the end played out but this was where Telon's friends shined.
The narrator did an excellent performance. I liked how she brought the story to life through her narration.

Love This
Revisado: 12-01-24
You know I love a series when I devour the books one after the other in just one week! This is book I just love because of the plot, of course, but mainly it was because of the main characters
Kai and Isabella are both the greenest flag out there. There relationship was never toxic. They had great communication and understanding of each other. Even though, they have broken up the blame wasn't put on each other.

Cozy holiday read
Revisado: 11-21-24
Daphne and Tristan were complete opposites and strangers to each other that is until Tristan needed Daphne's baking skills. It was so entertaining to listen to their witty banter and watch their relationship grow into something much deeper. While I wasn’t a fan of how Daphne handled the problem near the end, the conclusion was still satisfying.
This audiobook was easy to dive into, thanks to the skillful narrator. It’s a cozy and sweet story, perfect for a holiday read.

The narrators were amazing
Revisado: 08-17-24
Story:
Sky of Thorns is the start of the Vandeleur Trilogy. This is character-driven book following Sibyl and Aramis. While the focus on the main characters' development was strong, the world-building felt a bit lacking for me, which made the pacing too slow at times.
Performance:
This was a well produced audiobook. It was very entertaining. The narrators did an amazing job depicting each character, main or not. If I hadn't known there were only two narrators, I would have thought there were at least three. I also appreciated that Jacci and Anthony narrated their characters in all chapters, regardless of whose POV it was. Personally, I sometimes cringe when a male narrator changes his voice to portray a female character, same goes with a female narrator.
The sound effects at few areas were a nice addition. It made the audiobook more engaging and entertaining to listen to.
Overall, it was an okay start to a trilogy and I would still be reading the second book.

Revisado: 07-12-24
This was a fast paced introduction to the series. I love the premise and plot of the novel. Although I loved the characters in this book, from its main characters to side characters, the character dynamics were lacking.
