Historia
Bess Southerns, an impoverished widow, lives with her children in a crumbling old tower in Pendle Forest. Drawing on Catholic ritual, medicinal herbs, and guidance from her spirit-friend Tibb, Bess heals the sick and foretells the future in exchange for food and drink. As she ages, she instructs her best friend, Anne, and her granddaughter, Alizon, in her craft. Anne ultimately turns to dark magic, while Alizon struggles to accept the power she has inherited and dreams of a simpler life.

Historia
The best stories pull readers in and keep them turning the pages, eager to discover more—to find the answer to the question: "And then what happened?" The true hallmark of great literature is great imagination, and as Neil Gaiman and Al Sarrantonio prove with this outstanding collection, when it comes to great fiction, all genres are equal.

Where does Stories rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
In my top 3
What did you like best about this story?
Well, it is a collection of stories from a variety of authors which makes each a unique and worthwhile listen. There is a wonderful dearth of literary perspective each author presents.
Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
It is a cast reading, and each gave life to the story that he/she was reading.
If you could rename Stories, what would you call it?
I would, the name piques curiosity in such a way as to draw the reader in. Besides, each story is different and there is no better unifying title than the name of the collection.

PURE MAGIC!
Revisado: 09-25-12
What made the experience of listening to Neverwhere the most enjoyable?
Loved listening to Neil Gaiman's narration impart such life into this story of fantasy. He created a world parallel to the one we know, and made it believable.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I adored the Marquis, who was unabashedly selfish and self involved
Have you listened to any of Neil Gaiman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have, this is by far my favorite. When he narrated Fragile Things, I found it incredibly difficult to tell when one story ended and another began.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
"There is a London below..."
