Nadia May is a pleasure to listen to, and the book itself quite entertaining. The characters are amusing and Ms. May's voices for each well done.

Ngaio Marsh is a favorite of mine - her writing is amusing, and clever, and descriptive. This story is all of those things, and introduces delightful and irritating characters quite amusing to meet.
Wanda McCaddon's narration is clear, animated, and at a good speed. I will look for more of her performances simply for the enjoyment of hearing her voice.

I greatly enjoy Dorothy L Sayers' series featuring Lord Peter Whimsey and have read, I believe, all of them. Nadia May's reading is entertaining and brings Lord Peter's personality to life. As an American, I particularly enjoy hearing the British pronunciations and the different accents she brings to the listener. I found her voice soothing and the pace perfectly fitted to the style of writing. 10/10 will listen again.

Disclaimer: I am already a fan of Ngaio Marsh books, so am rather biased in regards to the tale itself. This tale is especially lovely in that it takes place in New Zealand in the mid-1930s, the language is quaint, and the scene descriptions delightful. James Saxon, the narrator, uses charming accents and voices for the different characters. He is now one of my favorite narrators and I shall look for examples of his work just for the pleasure of hearing his portrayals of other characters.10/10 recommend this performance.

I had already read a hard-cover copy of Death on the Sapphire and enjoyed the story and writing very much. When I found it on Audible, I thought it would be nice to revisit and I was right - the story was just an entertaining the second time around, and the performance added to its charm. The vocal inflections and different accents/tones/voices for each character really brought them to life. R.J. Koreto has written characters I want to know, and the mystery they find themselves in is interesting and full of historical details that piqued my curiosity - several Wikipedia searches later, I know more about the Boer War than was ever touched on in my school days (I don't think it was ever actually covered, which is a shame. It is fascinating). I also find the time period interesting and appreciate the little details he includes - the fact that cars and horses were sharing the road, the hierarchy of servants in a great house, the etiquette Lady Frances was expected to follow as a young, unmarried woman at this time. I already have Death Among Rubies queued up in Audible! I look forward to Death at the Emerald being recorded and released.
