This work does an excellent job of removing the rose colored glasses through which popular myth has traditionally gazed back at the era of the 1960’s. Peace, Love and Idealism were not the hallmarks of the 1960’s anymore than they were for any other decade. Instead, this book illuminates that there is always a dark side to society.

A must read for any freedom-loving, patriotic American. This book exposes the true level of rot within our own government.

A wisdom sorely missing from our modern popular discourse. Should be required reading in all American High Schools and universities.

While I don’t suffer from OCD I have always had trouble resisting certain compulsions and staying focused. This book really helped me to help myself in a way I didn’t think possible.

I’ve always been terrified of the ocean and yet have always felt it beckon to me. Listening to this, I almost feel as if I now understand why I felt that the ocean’s call. Maybe it’s because the sea is out original home: for all of us.

Forgive me if I sound melodramatic, that isn’t my intent. I simply wish to convey the intuition listening to this book brought to me.

I definitely recommend it.

For anyone interested in the true, dark history of progressivism, this read is exceptionally illuminating. Although very accurate Goldberg is far more generous to the “well intentioned” progressives than they honestly deserve. Progressivism is, and always has been a cancer; wherever it goes. Just in case you’re wondering, this is all coming from someone of Mexican background.

As a libertarian-conservative who happens to be Mexican, I’ve been warning anyone who will listen that identity politics is a mortal threat this beautiful experiment we call the US of A. Literature such as this goes far to raise the alarm for those good people who are governed by reason and logic as opposed to ignorance and emotion.

As an American of Mexican descent, I can think of no greater living mind than that of Thomas Sowell. If every American read this great man’s works, the hostile divide in American society, which has been artificially built to frightening heights, would disappear overnight.
