What happened?? completely disappointed.

I was really hoping that this book was going to be as good as the other When I heard this was going to be the final installment of the series I was disappointed. I was excited to read this book but straight from the beginning I could tell the author seemed to be having trouble creating a story. Too much describing of stuff, like trying to find words to fill an empty page. I would've rather waited another year to get a well written book than pages of pure prattling. I believe she spent the first 6 chapters going over the back story. If someone had issues remembering the last book they could've simply re-read it. I can' t say the whole book was awful, there were many good parts but having to get through the inconsequential portions of the book were rough. Bot sure why the writer wanted to rush through the series. It was really good. I honestly doubt I will read any more of her work, I'm afraid I will fall in love with the characters again and then be disappointed again.
