Compelling story
Revisado: 01-26-23
What an intriguing concept. Sarah Beth Durst comes through yet again with an unusual tale and engaging characters. I didn’t want it to end.

Historia
The young peasant woman Kamala has proven strong and determined enough to claim the most powerful Magister sorcery for herself-but now the Magisters hunt her for killing one of their own. Her only hope of survival lies in the northern Protectorates, where spells are warped by a curse called the Wrath that even the Magisters fear. Originally intended to protect the lands of men from creatures known only as souleaters, the Wrath appears to be weakening-and the threat of this ancient enemy is once more falling across the land.

Is there anything you would change about this book?
Mrs. Friedman is a talented author but she really needs to come up with a few synonyms for the word "flesh" Through the first 2 books at least it has gotten absurd to the point of comedy. Would make a great drinking game ;-)

Historia
Ken Follett's World Without End was a global phenomenon, a work of grand historical sweep beloved by millions of readers and acclaimed by critics. Fall of Giants is his magnificent new historical epic. The first novel in The Century Trilogy, it follows the fates of five interrelated families - American, German, Russian, English, and Welsh - as they move through the world-shaking dramas of the First World War, the Russian Revolution, and the struggle for women's suffrage.

A Little Slow
Revisado: 07-09-14
What did you like best about Fall of Giants? What did you like least?
I love how Ken Follett gives you a day in the life type story. You feel like you are part of a small community.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
It jumped around between characters a bit much, so at times it seemed a little hard to follow.
What about John Lee’s performance did you like?
Didn't overact the parts.
Did Fall of Giants inspire you to do anything?
Not particularly.
Any additional comments?
I usually really enjoy this author's books, but this one just didn't work for me.
