Meh. And the main character should be strong and determined, but the narrator sounds timid and the accent makes EVERYTHING she says sound like a question or a pitiful pleading. I would have enjoyed it more (Young Adult though it is) if the narrator had a firmer, less mousey delivery.

I appreciated his gentle, thoughtful truth and reflection. His story rings clear and honest. He does not spare himself (pun intended) nor the rigidity and selfishness in the people, processes and structure of “the firm” and British press.

Listen to Tim Gerard Reynolds NOT the “dramatized” version

Tim Gerard Reynolds is a fantastic narrator! I made the mistake of buying dramatized versions which were difficult to follow and less entertaining.

DONT BUY- GET TIM GERARD REYNOLDS VERSION

The “dramatacised” version (“story on your mind”) is hard to follow, poorly acted, and altogether makes a fun story subpar. I’m happy it was not my first experience with Michael J Sullivan or I would have never tried another.
Tim Gerard Reynolds as narrator make the whole experience FUN and easy to follow. I wish I could refund the other versions.

Narrator Makes Characters Sound 90 Years Old

The female narrator gives all female characters the chirpy, screechy voices of an elderly British lady. I’m looking for soothing narration and especially given that Claire and Briana are often the story teller points of view, but this narrators makes them sound ancient and petty. She’s not much better from males points of view narration. It really ruins a great story to have this narrator deliver it.

I agree with previous reviews. The story is good and Bond makes everyone sound 96 years old, even children and presumably vibrant young women. Please redo this story with a good reader. Bond makes the story tedious and incongruous. It was a slog to hear this version.
