Being dead sucks. Make that being undead sucks. Literally. Just ask Thomas C. Flood. Waking up after a fantastic night unlike anything he's ever experienced, he discovers that his girlfriend, Jody, the woman of his dreams, is a vampire. And surprise! Now he's one, too.

Pitiful!
Revisado: 03-16-10
How could the author of such great fiction as "Fool" write something so base? I turned it off after the first hour and deleted it from my MP3 player so it wouldn't contaminate the other great works there. I think it was written for the 16 year old crowd who could never understand the witty humor of his earlier work.

Historia
Theroux recounts his early adventures on an unusual grand continental tour. Asia's fabled trains are the stars of a journey that takes him on a loop eastbound from London's Victoria Station to Tokyo Central, then back from Japan on the Trans-Siberian. Brimming with Theroux's signature humor and wry observations, this engrossing chronicle is essential reading for both the ardent adventurer and the armchair traveler.

Great Story!
Revisado: 03-16-10
Great descriptions of the people and places Mr. Theroux visited on his Great Railway Bazaar. I could almost smell the foods and drink along the way. I only wish I had kept a map on hand to trace his stops. My only negative comment was that we could have spent less time in India....

Historia
Alice's adventures, funny, inventive and disturbing, have fascinated children and adults alike since their publication. The White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts and the Cheshire Cat (and, of course, Alice herself) all have something "Curiouser and curiouser!" to say in this new unabridged multi-cast recording. A delightful fantasy down the rabbit hole.

Loved it!
Revisado: 03-16-10
Of course Lewis Carroll's story was great, I expected that- but what was truly amazing was all the different voices that brought this story to life! I know I will listen to this classic again and again.

Historia
One moment Joseph Schwartz is a happily retired tailor in Chicago, 1949. The next he's a helpless stranger on Earth during the heyday of the first Galactic Empire. Earth, as he soon learns, is a backwater, just a pebble in the sky, despised by all the other 200 million planets of the Empire because its people dare to claim it's the original home of man. And Earth is poor, with great areas of radioactivity ruining much of its soil - so poor that everyone is sentenced to death at the age of 60. Joseph Schwartz is 62.

Incredible!!
Revisado: 09-07-09
I may have finished Asimov's Pebble in the Sky but it has not finished with me. Written shortly after we dropped the first atomic bomb over Japan, the story takes the atomic era to an imagined level not yet reached. It will stay with me as long as we are bickering with other atomic powers.
