Historia
As the daughter of a drug dealer, Wavy knows not to trust people, not even her own parents. It's safer to keep her mouth shut and stay out of sight. Struggling to raise her little brother, Donal, eight-year-old Wavy is the only responsible adult around. Obsessed with the constellations, she finds peace in the starry night sky above the fields behind her house until one night her stargazing causes an accident. After witnessing his motorcycle wreck, she forms an unusual friendship with one of her father's thugs, Kellen, a tattooed ex-con with a heart of gold.

It never leaves you…
Revisado: 01-07-24
I am writing this review about 2 years after listening to this book because I constantly think about it. Like, maybe once every couple of months or so. It’s a tough read, but it’s a beautifully written story.
I don’t recommend it lightly, but I do recommend it.

Historia
In a cabin in a wood, a woman by the window stood. Glancing out, she thought she heard footsteps, whistling, something stirred. Hiding here, she fears the night, for what’s done in the dark will come to light. She must run fast to escape her lie. Or she’ll be the next to die.

Satisfying Ending
Revisado: 12-17-22
This was an easy, fast listen. Story a little far-fetched, but the main character is likable (which is sometimes not the case in dark and twisty domestic thrillers…)
Trigger warning: child loss

Historia
Dazed and Confused not only heralded the arrival of filmmaker Richard Linklater, it introduced a cast of unknowns who would become the next generation of movie stars. Embraced as a cultural touchstone, the 1993 film would also make Matthew McConaughey’s famous phrase - alright, alright, alright - ubiquitous. But it started with a simple idea: Linklater thought people might like to watch a movie about high school kids just hanging out and listening to music on the last day of school in 1976.

The book I always wanted but didn’t know existed
Revisado: 05-24-22
I want to start this book over and experience it all over again! I absolutely adored everything about it. I may even go buy the hardcopy now.
If you are a fan of Dazed and Confused, this is a must listen. It’s so wonderful and pays a great homage to such an iconic movie.

Pleasantly surprised

I absolutely enjoyed this book, and I am going to say that it’s the best dark and twisty that I’ve “read” in quite a while.
