Historia
From age five Dash suffered Parental Alienation Syndrome at the hands of his father. Indoctrinated to believe his mother had abandoned him, after years of monitored phone calls and impeded access eight-year-old Dash decided he didn't want to be "forced" to visit her at all; later he told her he would never see her again if she took the case to court. But he didn't count on his indefatigable mother's fierce love. For eight more years Pamela battled Dash's father, the legal system, their psychologist, the school system, and Dash himself to try and protect her son - first from his father, then from himself.

Historia
When Caylee Anthony was reported missing in Orlando, Florida, in July 2008, the public spent the next three years following the investigation and the eventual trial of her mother, Casey Anthony. On July 5, 2011, the case that captured headlines worldwide exploded when, against all odds, defense attorney Jose Baez delivered one of the biggest legal upsets in American history: a not-guilty verdict.

I had already listened to the Ashton book and I wanted to hear the other side too. New things about case and a lot of unknown courtroom conflict.

This was a good book and tells the reality of how family court is from what I've seen and heard. A narcissist will lie, manipulate, and mentally abuse you and kids. i witnessed this. They will use others to help too. I dont understand 1 thing about Tina's experience. Why would she be disappointed if the narcissistic parent hardly showed up for visitations? I don't think i heard the kids were disappointed. I'd be relieved the child was with the stable parent not further damaged by the other. I heard of a case where a baby spends half a year w each parent!!! Imo its unhealthy and will create bonding and security issues. The poor child. Shes fortunate Seth only had weekends or every other. She's fortunate he actually had more to do (jobs, dates, wine tasting, anything) than to obsess over and harrass her all the time for years. My friend is mentally abused and her young child is also hurt by a lying abuser. Nowadays It seems impossible to get Tinas parent time schedule esp w a parent who purposely wont work or lives off others. Some poor kids have exactly half and half w a unhealthy parent. I dont mean to sound insensitive but compared to other hi conflict parent's schedules this sounds wonderful. Also I'm surprised having an unknown gps to track kids was allowed. Omg in current court they would probably penalize. Im not saying its not a good idea. Also yes I do think very young kids w 50/50 schedules can be mentally manipulated, confused about who's the real parent, or brainwashed due to their age, having no sibling, or their personality. This can be called alienation. The label originated from a sick mentally ill man but I do think it happens to both dads and moms.

Not for high conflict cases
Revisado: 10-14-20
This book might be great if you arent coparenting with a highly toxic lying parent. Its too weak. A good parent protects a child not encourages abuse from the other. One good parent is better than 2 if the other damages the child emotionally, physically or sexually. Something family court needs to learn
