Everyone has an opinion on attraction, dating, and relationships - but their opinions are usually based on a sample size of one, themselves. Utilizing studies both new and classic helps us reach a deeper understanding of ourselves and others - why we like who we like and what to do about it. The Science of Attraction is part textbook, with peer-received research, and part advice manual, with thorough analysis and takeaways to create better relationships.

Sensible, Well Researched, & Analytical in Nature
Revisado: 10-22-19
This book is short enough that you won't get bored with it. However, it was definitely well researched and had a slightly academic vibe that really appealed to my inner scientist. I like understanding why and how, which the author attempted to do by referencing some actual research on the subject. Additionally, he made sense of what often seems like complex social dynamics in logical and practical ways. I definitely recommend this book, and I hope he follows it up with one that further explains the human social experience.

The rise of AI has the potential to transform our future more than any other technology - and there's nobody better qualified or situated to explore that future than Max Tegmark, an MIT professor who's helped mainstream research on how to keep AI beneficial.

Great Book, Great Information
Revisado: 06-28-18
Life 3.0 is a wonderful book, written clearly by a careful and detailed thinker. I recommend it for the topic, the information, the good organization, and even the narrator.
Having previously read Superintelligence by Nick Bostrom, I recommend this book be read first, then absolutely follow it up with Superintelligence. The information and concepts from this book will aid you in digesting the next one. Both are critically important books on, almost certainly, the most important subject humans will ever consider and execute. Artificial General Intelligence is certainly the final human invention, hence the need for care in its formulation.

Great Biography of a Fascinating Man
Revisado: 02-16-18
This book was incredibly well researched and constructed. I wanted to learn everything I could reasonably expect to know about Elon Musk from one book. This book succeeded, and it did so in a fair and balanced way. It tells the story of an imperfect man who was/is self-propelled towards greatness. It absolutely illuminates the darker side of the man, while highlighting the many more wonderful things he has and continues to accomplish. Moreover, it points to his mindset, his way of thinking about life, the world, and our collective future. I really appreciated the book's openness and honesty about Musk's good and bad qualities. I don't want to respect someone because I heard only his or her positive traits. I want to respect them because I see whom they are in totality, and the balance of their nature is one of overall positivity.

Inspiration for Technology Entrepreneurs
Revisado: 02-16-18
This was a well written book, which gave me a bit of inspiration to embark upon my own journey into technology entrepreneurship. I recommend it to anyone with similar aspirations. It is not a difficult read, so to speak. My only real complaint was the narrator's voice. It took some getting used to.

Great History of Bitcoin
Revisado: 02-16-18
Easy to follow narrative of the story behind Bitcoin and its key players. It does not dive into the technical aspects of the technology on any meaningful level. So buy this book only for the history lesson and to build context for understanding the future of Bitcoin and blockchain technology.

Historia
Superintelligence asks the questions: What happens when machines surpass humans in general intelligence? Will artificial agents save or destroy us? Nick Bostrom lays the foundation for understanding the future of humanity and intelligent life. The human brain has some capabilities that the brains of other animals lack. It is to these distinctive capabilities that our species owes its dominant position. If machine brains surpassed human brains in general intelligence, then this new superintelligence could become extremely powerful - possibly beyond our control.

Thorough, Thoughtful, & Balanced

Loved this book! Considers nearly every aspect of the topic. Beware though. It requires focus and a high comprehension level as well as an essential understanding of the topic. Not light reading.
