Penn is always interesting and entertaining and this book is no exception….for the first two thirds at least. Clearly the last 1/3 of the book was completely filler. Penn just goes off on a tangent that really has nothing to do with his diet. While the book was entertaining I certainly wouldn’t recommend this diet for anyone. Penn lost over a hundred pounds but freely admits that only about half of that was fat, the rest was muscle ( remember your heart is a muscle ) not a very intelligent thing to do. He also talks about he started this diet because his blood pressure was ridiculously high. By the “end” of the diet? It’s better but still way too high. So his wonderful diet caused him to lose 50 pounds of muscle and still have scary high blood pressure. Not what I would call a success by any stretch of the imagination but, as I said, Penn makes it entertaining.

Very interesting and well researched book. Certainly makes you wonder about so many aspects of the RFK assassination. However story is almost ruined by the TERRIBLE narration. Narrator has a terrible habit of pronouncing Los Angeles as Los Angelees, thorough as thura and many other mispronunciations. Also tries to read direct quotes in the “accents” of the person he is quoting. His accents are insulting and on the verge of racism. Just disgusting that this was allowed to happen.

Total disclosure, I take D3 and K2, have been doing it for over 15 years and will continue to do so. The bad news? This book is long on opinion and assumption and short on scientific evidence. Also views have changed. Case in point, she quotes Dr William Davis, cardiologist from Milwaukee Wisconsin and at one time my cardiologist. He is the one who introduced me to K2. He thought it was going to be even bigger than D3. He’s mentioned in the book as recommending K2 in his book Track your plaque. Dr Davis no longer recommends K2. He’s seen in his practice no benefit at all to K2 over D3 by itself. This book needs to be updated and needs someone reading the book who can actually pronounce the medical terms correctly.
