Another great SEP novel! It was wonderful to return to the world of the Chicago Stars. Fun book, great narration. I only wish there had been a little more to the "falling in love" aspect of the romance. Otherwise, delightful characters and lovely story.

Good Narration, but...

Enjoyed the narration, but found the story lacking. I don't enjoy instalove romances. Too much of the characters behavior was unbelievable. Bummer, I often enjoy Tessa Bailey, but not this one.

Really liked the narration.
On the flipside, was very frustrated by the story and its unbelievable characters. So many things they did were unrealistic and made NO sense at all. Rolled my eyes a lot.

Nice fall listen

This book was a cute catnip romance. Overall, I enjoyed the story and the narration was great (I love Tim Paige). However, I did roll my eyes a lot at how things seemed work out so neatly/unbelievably over and over again. Also, the ending was really anticlimactic.

WARNING: spoilers below (nothing too bad, but I don't want to inadvertently ruin anything for folks):
Sports romance about a slightly overweight teacher with a heart of gold and a football quarterback with fear of public speaking. I found the love story to be underdeveloped and completely unbelievable. Moreover, the overall message of the book was subtle fat-shaming (i.e. being curvy is ok, but being actually fat is not).
Not enjoyable at all.
Regarding the narrator, I have enjoyed some of her previous work narrating historical fiction, but I did not enjoy her breathy, sigh-infused portrayal of the heroine. Not her best work.
