Disappointment.... drudgingly long

After the first 2 books, I had high hopes for the third and was sorely disappointed. The book honestly could have ended after Claire and Jamie reconnect and I would have enjoyed it more than listening to the author seemingly throw scenario crazy after crazy scenario at the characters in order to end at the same draatic conclusion. For a series with such a large fan base, I expected better.
