Historia
There's the world wide web - the internet we all know that connects us via news, email, forums, shopping, and social media. Then there's the dark web - the parallel internet accessed by only a select few. Eileen Ormsby has spent the past five years exploring every corner of the dark web. She has shopped on darknet markets, contributed to forums, waited in red rooms, and been threatened by hitmen on murder-for-hire sites.

A Tough Listen But An Important Piece
Revisado: 04-16-24
Well written and easy to follow along. This author is doing important work and I hope that writing the last portion of the book didn’t effect her too much mentally.

Historia
DisneyWar is an enthralling tale of one of America's most powerful media and entertainment companies, the people who control it, and those trying to overthrow them. It tells a story that - in its sudden twists, vivid, larger-than-life characters, and thrilling climax - might itself have been the subject of a Disney classic - except that it's all true.

Would love to get a follow up to the events of Disney in the wake of the early 2000’s. Thoroughly enjoyed this.

Historia
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

Brutally Honest
Revisado: 08-21-22
At times, it was so difficult to hear the pain in the authors voice when reading but I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Love Jeanette and so happy she is in a better place mentally and physically.
