Historia
Miss Marple, Agatha Christie’s deceptively mild spinster sleuth, is being treated to a few days’ holiday by her niece, staying at Bertram’s Hotel, a dignified, unostentatious establishment tucked away in a back street of busy Mayfair. Here is a place where sedate upper class ladies, retired military gentlemen and the higher echelons of the clergy can indulge in the comforts of a bygone age. But Miss Marple begins to feel uneasy. Something sinister lurks beneath the polished veneer.

A other excellent Christi mystery. I could not determine who was the killer. Christie kept the suspense through out the entire mystery. I would rate this one as one of my favorites.

Historia
Among the towering red cliffs of Petra, like some monstrous swollen Buddha, sits the corpse of Mrs.Boynton. A tiny puncture mark on her wrist is the only sign of the fatal injection that killed her. With only 24 hours available to solve the mystery, Hercule Poirot recalled a chance remark he'd overheard back in Jerusalem: "You see, don't you, that she's got to be killed?" Mrs. Boynton was, indeed, the most detestable woman he'd ever met....

I really liked this mystery. I thought the suspected killer was too obvious but I couldn't decide who really was the killer
I never guessed correctly. Kept my interest the entire time that I listened. The Dramatization was truly excellent. Agatha Christie was truly talented with so many fans through the decades of time.

He has rented the house out for the winter and is staying in a nearby village. As evening draws in, a seance is proposed. But it reveals more than they had anticipated - TREVELYAN DEAD, spells out the board. Slowly the table begins to rock again, spelling out the word M-U-R-D-E-R. Is it true? And who would kill a man who doesn’t have an enemy in the world?

Excellent dramatization. Great story telling by another lady other than Ms Marple. Very good mystery, well thought-out by Agatha Christie. I had not heard of this book, but it was up there with all the rest of Christie's winner's.

Historia
A foggy night... a lonely country house... and a woman with a gun in her hand quietly surveying the dead body of her husband. It looked like a straightforward case of murder. Or was it? As the ghosts of an old wrong begin to emerge from the past, the case begins to look anything but straightforward... First staged at the Duchess Theatre in London in 1958, this play ran for 604 performances and is as gripping and ingenious as you would expect from the Queen of Crime.

The twist ending
Revisado: 06-12-24
I have read many Agatha Christie murder mysteries; this is one of the very best! I can see why this play lasted so long at an English Theater in 1958! This book should not be missed in the menagerie of Christie mysteries. Agatha Christie was an extremely talented writer. Your reading time could not be spent in a more exquisite envelope of time. I usually do not take the time to write reviews, but this read was uniquely different. Dear reader....enjoy!!!

Historia
Beautiful Caroline Crale was convicted of poisoning her husband, but just like the nursery rhyme, there were five other "little pigs" who could have done it: Philip Blake (the stockbroker), who went to market; Meredith Blake (the amateur herbalist), who stayed at home; Elsa Greer (the three-time divorcee), who had her roast beef; Cecilia Williams (the devoted governess), who had none; and Angela Warren (the disfigured sister), who cried all the way home.
Sixteen years later, Caroline's daughter is determined to prove her mother's innocence.

Two standalone novels from the queen of mystery, Agatha Christie. From the sprawling Leonide family to dark moors, no one can spin a mystery quite like she can.
