But for Gwen’s daughter Connie, there’s just something about Paul that rings alarm bells from day one. He’s a little too kind, a little too involved…Worse still, Gwen seems to have fallen under his spell.

Thoroughly enjoyable story with an ever changing narrative that kept me guessing. Don’t let its simple description prevent you from giving this complex weave a listen! I couldn’t help but feel - poor Connie. No one escapes from Karma.

A societal caste system woven throughout a technically advanced world. We’re reminded that, despite scientific advancements, the progress of human civilization is based upon the wants and needs of the people in charge; all others are at their mercy.

When the opening ceremonies erupt in chaos, Roselle is abducted by a sadistic agent with a diabolical plan: transform Roselle into a mind-controlled assassin to topple society. Pushes the bounds of disbelief
Revisado: 05-02-23
Books one and two really held my interest so I was looking forward to a satisfying final installment. Sadly, I have to agree with other less-than-satisfied reviewers when I say that Book 3 left me feeling lost and confused when it wildly diverged from the baseline concepts and flow of the prior two books in this series . More foreshadowing in the prior two books would have helped with the radical new changes in this storyline. Unfortunately, the uneven pacing, lack luster “ultimate battle”, and stunted close out ending prove to me that Book 3 could not be saved from itself. I have to admit that the final teaser thread referenced at the end had me hoping for an offshoot or extension to this storyline. But then, based on the outcome of Book 3, I had second thoughts.

Initially held promise but failed
Revisado: 03-08-23
Unfortunately, I have to agree with most of the negative reviews. Poorly crafted story with basic, unremarkable narration. I can honestly say that my time could have been better spent doing anything else - including laundry.

Revisado: 02-21-23
The full cast of voices didn’t seem overdone and the sounds effects added just enough to help someone get immersed into the story. This is truly one of the most enjoyable short length production pieces I’ve heard in a long time. As others have requested - more stories like this one please!

They connect to Outland - an alternate Earth with identical geology, but where humans never evolved. The group races to establish control of the portal before the government, the military, or evildoers can take it away. Then everything changes when the Yellowstone supervolcano erupts in an explosion large enough to destroy civilization and kill half the planet.

Easy Listening , What-If Land Peekaboo
Revisado: 11-27-22
I found this story to be an enjoyable, fun ride into “what-if” land. Sure, as other reviewers have stated, the ability to escape a natural catastrophe in the nick-of-time is far fetched but that’s okay for me because this is fantasy sci-fi. Come on everybody- leave nature’s laws and lottery odds behind. At its core, this story is an uncomplicated peek (think: intro) into what could become an interesting dive into alternative realities.

I’m not really into gangster/mafia types of stories - yet this short story kept my interest. Yes, there’re some stereotypical characters but I enjoyed the underlying sci-fi theme. I look forward to listening to some of the follow up books

Wanted to love it but found it lacking
Revisado: 07-31-18
First, let me say that I am a huge Gena Showalter fan so it pains me to give a less than stellar review.
I was interested in the concept of the story and was satisfied with its progression in the first half. However, as the story sped toward its conclusion, I started to question how it was going to wrap up in a way that would be both satisfying and (at least somewhat) realistic.
Alas, the story wrap up felt abrupt and rushed. The main female character (at the end) responded so drastically opposite to her initial persona that it made her dealings with her love interest hard to believe. Perhaps if a good side story is crafted with Jake as the main character I will give this story line another try. But honestly it will have to have much more substance to be worth my time.
