Historia
Does your dog love you? Every dog lover knows the feeling. The nuzzle of a dog’s nose, the warmth of them lying at our feet, even their whining when they want to get up on the bed. It really seems like our dogs love us, too. But for years, scientists have resisted that conclusion, warning against anthropomorphizing our pets. Enter Clive Wynne, a pioneering canine behaviorist whose research is helping to usher in a new era: one in which love, not intelligence or submissiveness, is at the heart of the human-canine relationship.

An Outstanding Read for Owners and Proffessionals
Revisado: 02-20-20
People have some pretty wild ideas about dogs, from their being spiritual saviours to canine masterminds waiting for the chance to dominate you and your household.... and so, not unlike the author I tread with skeptic caution especially when opening a book named 'Dog is Love'.
Although it took me a couple of chapters to jive with the narrator, the content of the book alleviated my skepticism, taking me on a scientific journey of discovery. Even the most hardened, traditional behaviorist still not wanting to use the word 'love' in describing doggy feelings, would find something to think about in terms of the dog human relationship.
I read a lot about dogs and so some of the studies reviewed in this book were known to me, however(!) it offered not only a new way to use and think about these studies but provided a whole new world of scientifically backed info I haven't heard before.
Around two thirds of the way through the book, the author has made his case for dogs ability to love. The last few chapters go on to explore what that might mean, and further discussion on dog welfare. I enjoyed these chapters just as much.
I also really appreciated the personal anecdotes of the authors own dog were kept short and to the point so as not to be too self indulgent, which let's face it, is easy to do when it comes to our dogs.
I will be looking for other titles by this author in the future.

Overall A Good Series

Overall this is a nice little series. I did expect it to peak my interest more than it did, I think some episodes felt rushed. With that said I quite enjoyed the medical installment and the quality of production.

Historia
James Dommek, Jr., an Alaska Native writer and musician, sheds new light on a real-life mystery that pits Native American folklore against the US justice system. In the vast Alaskan Arctic, legend has it there once lived a mythic tribe—Iñukuns—that only existed in rumors and whispers. This changed forever when an actor-turned-fugitive, Teddy Kyle Smith, had an encounter that brought Iñukuns from myth to reality. Smith was an aspiring actor with a promising career until it all came quickly crashing down with a gunshot, a manhunt, bloodshed, and other frightful events.

When his adolescent daughter, Mollie, proves to be a natural-born climber, Finnegan follows his newfound passion toward rock climbing. Heartwarming.
Revisado: 11-08-19
I almost didn't read this book, other reviews said experienced climbers wouldn't appreciate all it's basic explanations of the sport. I'm an experienced climber and still enjoyed it, so don't that put you off. And anyhow the real story here is one of a fathers admiration for his daughters growing character, illustrated in her climbing endeavors, an obsession they found together and continue to share.
For me, this beautiful short story left a twinge of sadness, as it will for any child who didn't receive the support and guidance the writer shows to the very fortunate miss Mollie.

Starts Strong
Revisado: 11-08-19
The performances were okay but any female scream, discomfort or even death was performed as if they were going to climax killing the atmosphere. As far as the story goes, it started strong but lost my interest in the last act which should have been the most exciting. This was my first audible original, I'm not going into the next one with high hopes.

Do The Intercourse
Revisado: 10-22-19
I was interested in this book as a big fan of 'Snowflower', but unfortunately this title became insufferable after chapter 10. The dialogue in the early chapters made me cringe, how many times do we need to hear the words 'do the intercourse'. I'm glad I saw it through to the end but did so on 'double speed'.
