Historia
Shortly after his death in 1957, The New York Times obituary of Peter Freuchen noted that except for Richard E. Byrd, and despite his foreign beginnings, Freuchen was perhaps better known to more people in the United States than any other explorer of our time. During his lifetime Freuchen's remarkable adventures, related in his books, magazine articles, and films, made him a legend. In 1910, Freuchen and his friend and business partner, Knud Rasmussen, the renowned polar explorer, founded Thule—a Greenland Inuit trading post and village only 800 miles from the North Pole.

Good Story Terrible Narration
Revisado: 11-07-24
RE the narration: Bobby Brill needs to either get paid for rehearsing or just have the integrity to rehearse before going into the studio to record. There are so many errors in the pronunciation of words that it is distracting and annoying to listen to. He frequently puts an unnecessary emphasis on words, while completely lacks emotion where there should be. It's like he is reading the story out loud for the first time and is unsure where the story is going. ITS so bad that I don't want to finish the book. I am so annoyed and frustrated that his voice is ruining a great story.

Male fantasy story!
Revisado: 10-23-24
Couldn't even finish it. Literally, the men heroes were telling the women (weak and vulnerable) to go make food and bring it to them, while they protect and shoot at the enemy. It was incredibly stereotypical macho male. The climax of the story was when the men got to rescue the towns women who were kidnapped and serially rapped. Not an original story line.

Historia
In 2007, Lissa Rankin left a promising career in medicine to tend to her own health and well-being. Her search to discover why people really get sick and what truly optimizes health outcomes launched a bestselling book, two television specials, and a revolution in the way we look at mind-body medicine. But so many questions remained for this doctor and skeptic. Certain that, if she looked hard enough, she would find the answers, Dr. Rankin embarked on a decade-long journey to explore these questions and more.

Dont waste your time or money
Revisado: 08-30-24
Narrated by: Subhadra Newton=horrible. She seems to have a fake a 'spiritual' voice. Seems phony.
There is NO story. Its a privileged doctor who presents the research of other people and her explaining how she got to travel the world and explore healing-for herself. I couldn't even finish it.

Fake Author Real Stories
Revisado: 04-12-24
Yes, signs are real. You can communicate with your family who has passed onto the other side. The stories in this book seem authentic. What seems disingenuous is the author. The audio quality is hypnotically calm and gentle. It feels fake like it was AI generated. The author also seems fake like a Male to Female invert who is capitalizing on the vulnerabilities of people. I was not able to finish the book.

Historia
Empire of the Summer Moon spans two astonishing stories. The first traces the rise and fall of the Comanches, the most powerful Indian tribe in American history. The second entails one of the most remarkable narratives ever to come out of the Old West: the epic saga of the pioneer woman Cynthia Ann Parker and her mixed-blood son, Quanah, who became the last and greatest chief of the Comanches.

Pioneers were invading their nation,
Revisado: 04-10-24
It is disheartening that S. C. Gwynne choose to use racial slurs in the writing of the story. He clearly is not on the side of the Comanches. Not once, did he mention that ‘pioneers’ were invading their nation, and they have a right to protect themselves. At some points he was almost indignant that the Comanches kept fighting and at other points seemed gleeful when they were defeated.
