The ending was terrible!

I was looking forward to Diem continue her journey to be an absolute badass! NOOOOOOOO! Not even close. I am just disgusted that the author did this ending so dirty. I am so sad I wasted my credits in this series.
I was so invested in the first to books only to get drop kicked with book 3.
It is just so disappointing.
The book drug out over one to many chapters. Luther was ripped from Diem and trapped on the island. Then ran through with a godstone blade.
I will have no choice but to get book 4 just to hope Penn Cole gives Diem a happily ever after.

Everything was good up until the end. I am glad I was listening to this and not holding a physical copy or else I would have tossed it across the house.
the spice was good and the story is great.
Saeris and King Fisher are perfect.

Another beautiful story

This is beautifully written. However, I am a bot disappointed at the overall plot. It is a bot too predictable and lacking her first 3 books finesse. The lack of information and left out details is frustrating.
I really expected more. The book feels rushed and forced. It was a short listen.
Diana and Matthew, along with the children deserved a better story. The author did the twins and Diana dirty. The entanglement of the family's throughout history is a bit excessive and over the top, but I understand why the author did told it that way.
This definitely was not worth the audible credit, should have been offered as an included read with audible plus.
I am thrilled that Jennifer Iekeda did the narration. She is amazing at her job.

This is a work of art. Beautifully written.l and the narration was absolutely spectacular! Butcher and Blackbird is an amazing love story mixed with just the right amount of psycho and blood 😍.
I cannot wait to get started on book 2!

Performance is better than the book

The narrators are amazing, but the main character female leaves the listener annoyed. I found myself skipping ahead chapters just to see if it gets better. I understand the pain of losing it "all," and as a woman who has also gone through it, I know the depression that follows such a loss. However, Ashton was over the top rude and nasty to Quinn from the very beginning. the level of her horrid personality ruined the book for me. Sadly, all he tried to do was love her, and thank goodness she finally saw the light and reined in her insecurities and idiotic thinking.
The story is well written, and it is a matter of my own opinion about the main female character.
I listened to both books in the duet. The first is definitely better than the second one.
I am happy I didn't have to waste credits on these books.

The other half now belonged to Levi Miller, the famous quarterback who had other ideas about what we should do with the property. We won’t mention that I accidentally injured him during our first meeting, causing him to get eight stitches. You could say we got off on the wrong foot. We bickered a lot as we both moved into the property while we figured things out.
