Historia
Arman Romanov has looked out for me since I was a little girl, yet now when I need him more than ever I can't stand the idea of accepting help from the son of a man my father betrayed. But it isn't up to me. A powerful mafia family is demanding that I pay my father's debts and Arman is the only one who can protect me, but that isn't the reason I'm sore, spent, and sleeping by his side tonight.

I love this author and this particular title is an excellent example of tight and engaging story line, tastefully done dark sexual content and voice performances are great as usual. Looking forward to more!

Refreshing storyline and gripping plot
Revisado: 12-08-18
I picked this book to broaden my horizons and get some exposure to international, particularly Scandinavian, literature. I have to say I sometimes have trouble taking interest in unfamiliar material, but this book grabbed my interest pretty quickly and sustained it throughout. I found it refreshing, profound and grippingly entertaining. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to engage with good literature, but also being thoroughly entertained in the process.

Historia
First-year detective Kathleen Doyle is a plucky Irish redhead of humble origins and modest means. Chief Inspector Michael Acton is her antithesis: a British lord turned cop. He's tall, handsome, and enigmatic - to a fault. He also has a knack for solving London's most high-profile crimes. Acton selects Doyle out of the newbie squad to partner with him on a series of investigations because she always knows when someone is lying - a trait that comes in handy when interviewing suspects and witnesses.
