The man he knew as "Control" is dead, and the young Turks who forced him out now run the Circus. But George Smiley isn't quite ready for retirement-especially when a pretty, would-be defector surfaces with a shocking accusation: a Soviet mole has penetrated the highest level of British Intelligence. In a small Southern town where loyalty to family and to "your people" carries the weight of a sacred oath, defying those unspoken rules can be a deadly proposition. Historia
Although T. E. Lawrence, commonly known as "Lawrence of Arabia’, died in 1935, the story of his life has captured the imagination of succeeding generations. Seven Pillars of Wisdom is a monumental work in which he chronicles his role in leading the Arab Revolt against the Turks during the First World War. A reluctant leader, and wracked by guilt at the duplicity of the British, Lawrence nevertheless threw himself into his role, suffering the blistering desert conditions and masterminding military campaigns which culminated in the triumphant march of the Arabs into Damascus.

Revisado: 03-04-21
Narrator made characters too much like everything all characters were in a angry desperate "interactions. Made very ill flow in tempo/fliow. 2nd book in this series narrator should have done. The less "drama" you use in your " tempo and renunciation" the easier "listeners" can infer and open wider scope the literal vs. abstract true intentions of Author. Tough book though I bet to narrate just the costant injected "beefs" made hard to follow. I dont in many places think everyone interchangings diologues were so on the razor blade of a fight

Revisado: 11-18-20
informative series. in depth with excellent narration. Bit off topic but I don't appreciate the new "surprise" infomer that has to let us know our "own" books which we clearly realize they are "broken" down being we users of audible were the ones that "downloaded" and paid for in the first place. I find it a major buzz kill at the end of every part to have to get startled by. also dont appreciate the new personalized good evening afternoons. seem phoney. annoying. now and intrusive

When Arkady Petrovich comes home from college, his father finds his eager, naive son changed almost beyond recognition, for the impressionable Arkady has fallen under the powerful influence of the friend he has brought with him. Historia
Exiled to four years in Siberia, but hailed by the end of his life as a saint, prophet, and genius, Fyodor Dostoevsky holds an exalted place among the best of the great Russian authors. One of Dostoevsky’s five major novels, Devils follows the travails of a small provincial town beset by a band of modish radicals - and in so doing presents a devastating depiction of life and politics in late 19th-century Imperial Russia.

Historia
This masterful biography by one of Germany’s best known journalists was the leading nonfiction best seller in Germany. Fest shows Hitler as the receptacle of the dreads and resentments of a shaken social order, gifted with an uncanny instinct for all that was hollow behind the appearance of power, at home and abroad. Though a warped human being, he was neither clown nor puppet, as many liked to think; Hitler appears here as an enormously astute politician, impressing and hypnotizing Germans and foreigners alike with the scope of his projects and the theatricality of their presentation. Fest uncovers in Hitler a constantly destructive personality....
